While overall this is a good flooring product for the price, you had better be a good woodworker to lay this to look professional.

My uncle and dad installed these floors for me this past weekend. I was so pleased with how they matched my existing 50 year old hardwood flooring and provided a seamless transition.
I would recommend having someone install the floors that knows what they are doing. My uncle is a professional contractor and owns his own construction business. He had all of the equipment needed and knew what he was doing. We did run into a few issues with the flooring. One box had boards that had black markings on them and some of the boards were just ugly in appearance in that same box. I was able to clean the black markings off, but I shouldn't have had to do that. Poor quality control. The ugly boards now have a stove sitting on top of them.
Contrary to what people may believe, these pieces do not just snap together. If you want a tight fit, you have to use a rubber mallet and/or hammer to push them into place. We had no milling issues and the boards worked well with one another regardless of what box they came out of.

The look and durability of the product is great, remember that you are buying mill grade, which is not select so there will be significant color variations and knots and imperfections. In my lot i had a few boxes with some terrible milling, mainly missing tongues, a lot of the long boards were bowed, but as an experienced flooring installer they were not a problem and was able to use about 95% of the product purchased which was about 500 SQ FT. I love the color variations, i feel that it gives the floor character. You have to remember the product is wood, IT COMES FROM TREES! People crack me up when they make comments about the grain or color variations! I would use this product again.

Pieces don't fit together well, resulting in suprisingly large gaps between pieces even when an effort is made to match them. Some boards are noticeably thicker than others, sticking up at seams. The sample in the store looked so much better than these pieces could ever be made to look. I wish I had purchased well-fitting bamboo instead of this low-quality oak. I do NOT recommend.

I'm very happy with most of the flooring. But there were so many short pieces, so many pieces with uneven edges, and some very different color variances. This actually added up to about 2 boxes!
Service and delivery comments:
I was told that our order was on a truck & when it would be ready to be picked up. But when my installer showed up, it wasn't there. It took another week, which made the whole wait time about 4 weeks!
Someone should have called to let me know that it didn't arrive, especially after I was told it would be there.

This was my first time installing a hardwood floor. My wife, Son, and myself installed a 205sf room in a little over a day and a 1/2. Mixing boxes of this product seems to be a problem since they had milling variations from box to box. This made it really tough to get tight seams. Once we started going one box at a time it went a lot faster. Overall the finish is good and the floor looks great.
