Hickory greatly separates itself from other wood species by its great color variation which begins from light tan to reddish/ dark brown tones with dramatic grain patterns. What is "Millrun Grade?"

The worst part about this product is the 3 1/4" end of the tongue side or short side had random pieces that were out of square. These boards were hard to discover until after it was installed. Some of the tongues were not cut well and were too thick. I also had issue with several boxes that were primarily 12" to 14" in length. The look of the floor is great but you have to be careful while installing not to put down a piece that is out of square.

there was a good selection of colors and figure throughout the boxes. The pieces fit together perfectly with no differences in width. The finish was even and smooth.

I used this on the main level of my home. We have a lot of traffic so durability was important. The variation in color is beautiful. I was concerned that there may be a lot of waste bc it was mill run(not best quality). I had very little waste. I have 9 boxes left and I went with less than they estimated.

Can the 3/4" x 3 1/4" Hickory Millrun be used to finish a vaulted ceiling?1 answer

Can this floor be used with a heated floor system.1 answer
A:
Lumber Liquidators recommends floating floors -flooring not attached to the subfloor- for radiant heat applications. To ensure performance, the consumer should be aware of risks associated with nailing or gluing solid wood over radiant heat and ensure product selection and installation practices are appropriate for the application. If you choose to use solid wood, select quarter-sawn or rift-sawn materials. Note that even using solid wood species with known positive dimensional *stability characteristics than others, cannot predictably be guaranteed to perform well in every application. In addition, radiant systems if not monitored and controlled properly can negatively impact the long term finish performance of wood flooring and may result in finish chipping, peeling or hazy finish.Q:

I just had this installed, what should I use to clean this product?1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.Q:
