          • Q:

How would you install laminate on a stairway?

              A:

Laminates can be installed on stairs. For safety reasons these must be fully glued using urethane adhesives, do not use underlayments.
Due to the overlap design of the stair nosings it would not be my first choice for a full flight of stairs.

The Blacksburg Barn does have the grainy appearance along with the textured look but the grain is not felt throughout the finish

Unfortunately not, any carpet will have to be removed because it offers no moisture protection or support to the locking system..

              A:

Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our engineered or vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.

This is the thickest laminate that we retail so yes it would work well with pets, the key to pets and flooring is to keep the nails trimmed and filed

can you use a steam mop on this flooring? is there something you should not use to clean this floor
Asked on 2/6/2012 by Dave from La Grande, Oregon

            1 answer

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

For general cleaning a swiffer type system works best. Not one that sprays the floor however. Lightly damp is fine but never soak or flood mop your floor. Do not use steam mops. Have a no shoes policy as much as possible. Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often.

Bellawood Cleaner works very well, find it here - http://www.lumberliquidators.com/catalog/section.jsp?categoryId=19
