            Comments about 3/4" x 2 1/4" x 6.5LFT Ash Reducer:

We remodeled our complete upstairs of our ranch home with 1400sq. of 3/4" Ash . We could not be more pleased with this product. We were able to get a great price and the installation went smoothly. We were thinking about putting quarter round around three tile areas we did but when I saw how nice the reducer looked, there was no comparison. Love it, Love it, Love. p.s. The staff at the Syracuse store could not have been more accomodating. Thanks

                A:

Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern.
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. Thank you for your inquiry.

Is a moisture barrier required under this flooring?

                A:

If over concrete yes. A 6 mil poly sheeting moisture barrier should be laid for floating floors for an On or Below Grade Concrete subfloor. Overlap seams 4" to 6" and tape with duct tape.

Not recommended or practical because of it's construction. Great for floors, not for stairs.

I have installed the Cassatt Cork flooring and now need to seal using the recommended water based polyurethane. Would Bona Mega sealer be appropriate to use? Do I need to prep the flooring before application?

                A:

We recommend using a floor grade water base polyurethane to seal the cork after installation. Since the Bona Mega Sealer is not our product, it would be best to check with Bona regarding prep and its recommended application.

                A:

All of our floating corks have an HDF core by design; cork is not ridged or strong enough to have a milled click joint . We do have solid cork glue down tiles.
                - Cork planks mounted on an HDF moisture resistant core
                - Unilin licensed click system
                - Superior acoustical properties
                - Heat insulation properties
                - Non allergenic
                - Resilient flooring and highly resistant to liquid penetration
                - 3 mm decorative cork layer
                - 0.6 mm cork underlay
                - 7 coats of water based polyurethane finish
                - density of 0.193g/cm3 or 6.973lb/in3

                A:

Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.
