I had this product installed as a transition to my bathroom. Unfortunately it is too tall and now I can't close the bathroom door!

We needed 8 threshholds for the 1000 feet of 5" hickory hardwood we ordered from Lumber Liquidators. The thresholds are a perfect complement to the flooring. The varied wood grain in the thresholds are a beautiful match to the planks. The thresholds have a high quality finish. Our installer was pleased with them, as well as the quality of the hickory flooring.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Get extra because there will be boards that you may not want to use, after all, this is wood and will have knots etc. A trick we came up with: Snapping the boards together was a chore until we inserted a yard stick under the edge of the existing board, then holding down the back side of the existing board, it snaps together much easier. Attach a long string to the yard stick for easier removal from under your work.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Can you tell me what the height of the flat front edge of this threshold is? Also what is the height of the section cut out of the bottom (where the other flooring would go)? What does the 5/8" represent? Is that the overall total height of the product? Thanks for the help.1 answer

A:
The molding can be glued down to a concrete subfloor. If over a plywood subfloor you can choose to glue it down or use finish nails to hold it in place.
