      Comments about 1 1/16" x 2" x 6.5LFT Red Oak Threshold:

This makes a beautiful transition from a tile fireplace hearth to your wood floor. Comes individually boxed, but check to make sure that the ends are not split. It is a little fragile until installed. Be sure your saw blade is sharp, and you are gentle with the mitre work.

I've purchased your Casa de Colour Loft White Oak 3/4" X 3-1/4" flooring. I need a threshold against the base of an outside door and floor-to-ceiling window. Can you give me all the cross-section dimensions of this item? And can it be supplied in the same finish as my floor?

          • Q:

What is the drop difference for this product? Do you have any thresholds that accommodate a 1.5 inch drop?

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

The vertical drop on this threshold measures 3/4"
We do not have anything to accomodate a 1.5" difference.
You most likely have to fabricate something from stock oak material.

How do you attach this trim to the floor ?

              A:

This threshold is attached by pre-drilling and finish nailing to a wood subfloor. If installing over concrete it will need to be glued using a 100 % urethane construction adhesive.
