- Store flooring flat for 48 hours in its original packaging at room temperature.
- Must be installed over a clean, stable, flat, smooth, and dry surface.

- Make sure the panels are mixed sufficiently when you install them so that you do not end up with too many identical, light or dark panels next to each other.

Laminates having pre-attached padding can also be installed over an underlayment. When doing so, Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of Bellawood Platinum, Bellawood Premium, Quiet Walk or the Eco Silent Sound underlayment. Very pretty

By Craftgirl

from Kansas City, MO

Pros

  • Easy to clean
  • Easy to instal
  • Very pretty

Cons

  • Chips Easy Installing

Best Uses

Several boards already damaged when boxes were opened. Also, did not like that there were various size lengths. That actually made it harder to lay a pattern that didn't show a major seam in the room. I really would have liked all/more long boards because I had several boxes worth of short board lengths left over. What a waste of money.
It does chip easy when installing, and if it doesn't chip, it shows where the paper part gets compressed if you tap it in too hard.
Very pretty when done! Easy to clean. Happy with my first laminate floor.

I love the way they look installed. Fantastic!! Very good quality. Even our handyman was impressed with them. It's a nice 12mm thick and has the pad attached. Easy to install. Would definitely get the same for our family room when our budget allows it.

I had went to several business before coming to Lumber Liquidator. I knew this was going to be the store I would make my purchase. There was no pressure to make a sale yet there to answer any questions I had and I like the prices. It took several visits to the store to decide what color I wanted. Finally decided on African Mahogany which actually turned out being the one I like the very first time I went to the store. My sales associate name is Ken who happen to be the manager. He has the best customer service skills which was great for my personality. I am big on customer service. Since I knew by now what I wanted the purchase was smooth sailing. I believe I got a great price. I hired a professional to put down the floor. there was no damage material at all.Installations appeared to be easy. I had my floor down for 2 months now. still have beautiful shine. no noise when walking on floor. seems to hold up very well.I did get the extra padding. The color shows dust very easy but that's to be expected with color floors. I do not have animals so nothing to compare it to as if it scratches. So far no scratches from me. I don't have a lot of company so I am not expecting scratches and I do have padding on all of my furniture to protect the floors. So happy I picked African Mahogany laminated. My space is very open and it make the house look so rich. Look like I spent more than I did. went to store on independence Blvd. If you go there ask for Ken. He is the best.

One of the more attractive laminates. Straight forward installation. The finish scratches very easily and the substrate is a different color. It will show through. My impression was this is the most attractive, yet softest laminate I have seen and used.

    Good Laminante for basement/concrete.

    By MattStamfordbeach

    from Stamford, CT

    Pros

      Cons

        Best Uses

        • Basement
        • Concrete

I put this laminte down in on my first floor concrete base for one bedroom and the hallway/closet and going to complete in the bathroom. It looks good, but isn't comparable to real wood obviously which is on my 2nd and 3rd floors. It seems to do the job well and take on a lot of foot traffic.

Liked the color more in the store, but it seems to be true to display so i'm not concerned, clicks in fairly easily, small sections where the board were cut don't stay down like i want for a floating floor; nothing some glue or baseboard couldn't hold once installed. Little to no waste either.

Overall floor seems fine and durable, gotten complements on it. I wanted 12mm because the concrete floor below is going to get cold in the winter and i have someone living in the room. Also got some paint on it while doing the walls and ceiling and once dried it came off easily with a razor without damaging the clear coat.

Paid about $550 for 300sqft and then the expensive underlayment was required for install as well along with the blue moisture barrier, hoping it helps with the floor temps when we hit freezing points. Not sure why it costed so much. All in all about $780 for 300 sqft of laminate.

I'd recommend to a friend for a playroom or basement room, otherwise fork over the money for real wood if you can because the difference is night and day.

        Service and delivery comments:

Darren at Norwalk, CT store was very helpful and friendly. Was honest and prompt when store was busy. Had called me back 2 months before on some hardwood and remembered him when going in for laminate.

        Music room

        By Techies at work

        from Columbia, MD

        Verified Reviewer

        Pros

        • Great Look

        Cons

        • Joints Sometimes Flawed
        • Sound Refelctive

        Best Uses

This was our first laminate installaion, and it did make clear this isn't necessarily a job for 50+ year old knees, but the end is striking and looks good. For a music room in the basement, the sound reflection is not a particularly good thing, but there are not many choices that are. Most pieces assembled easily, but a few were very difficult, and a handful of pieces had minor cosmetic damage out of the box.

          • Q:

I have african mahogany laminate installed in my kitchen, living room, dining room and hallway. I love it. It is shiny, and just beautiful.
I am having problems finding a cleaning fluid for it. I have used Bona cleaner and it streaks. Followed instructions. Swept the floor, used a clean soft cloth and sprayed the cleaner on my cloth before using it on the laminate. It streaks and leaves a dull surface to the wood. Please advise on how to clean this floor.

Thank you for your purchase with Lumber Liquidators. I'm sorry to hear about the cleaning difficulties. When cleaning our laminate floors, we recommend using our Dream Home laminate floor cleaner. Using other products could result in streaks, build up, oily, and waxy finishes that may show foot steps.

              A:

We can only recommend our Dream Home or Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.
              Thank you for your inquiry.

DREAM HOME flooring can be used in combination with many types of in-floor heating.
              1. Follow the instructions from the supplier of the floor heating system.
              2. Concrete subfloors must be installed and cured a minimum of 60 days.
              3. The heating system must be in operation for at least two weeks before installation to dissipate any residual moisture. During installation, the system may be turned off or set to a suitable installation temperature 65 to 75°F.
              4. Adjust the heating system gradually. The heating surface temperature must not exceed 85°F.
