Used as a transition from Porcelain tile. Used construction adhesive to install directly to floor. Looks fantastic. I had a 12 foot transition so I used two lengths butted together. The butt seam is very tight so it looks good but wished it came in longer lengths for my job.

What is the minimum gap for the track? I know it says 1 inch, but the t looks less than that and some transitions I do not have 1 inch.

  1 inch is the minimum to allow for proper expansion space. The top of the T measures1-5/8" wide.

  One inch is more than any laminate overlap reducer is designed to handle.
  I have seen a solid wood reducer at the home center in the flooring dept that could work.

  The African Mahogany reducer is 1 5/8" wide. If you leave a 7/8" to 1" space the reducer will work.
