      A:

      This should be 2-3/8" wide x 3/4" thick. Trim should always be on the jobsite before installation in case of variations.

    my laminated flooring is 8mm thick with no backing,how do i fit the stairnose (A10ASSN) to the flooring so the top of stairnose is evenwith the top of the 8mm flooring???

  • Q:

    Can you install this product on the lip of each step? I plan to do two different staircases, laying the hardwood on each step, and using this product as the lip on each step. Is this what the product is meant for? Will this lock into the hardwood like each piece of the hardwood planks lock into each other?

      A:

      Yes it can be used with the laminate flooring to cover a set of stairs but due to the overlap design of this nosing it would not be my first choice for two full flights of stairs.
      We sell replacement stairs and risers.

      Floating Stair Step Installations:
      You will need to cut off the existing overhanging nosing on steps first.
      1. Starting from the bottom of the staircase working up, cut the stair riser to match the height and width of the step. The risers can be made from the flooring or other finished material.
      2. The Stair Nosing is then installed to overlap the flooring on step and cover the riser.
      (Nail and glue for safety,)
      3. Cut the flooring Stair and Nosing to length.
      4. An additional "filler" piece of flooring must be added to the back of the flooring.

      The Steps and Risers should be attached by direct gluing to the stair using 100& urethane
      construction adhesive or wood mastic. (For safety, omit all padding)

      TIP; fit and adjust each step before gluing
