Comments about R.L. Colston 3/4" x 3" Brazilian Walnut Flooring:
This flooring is absolutely gorgeous. I installed this myself and it was a very time consuming project - plan on needing at least two days per room for small-medium sized rooms.
I finished it myself too which I might not do again, but that turned out pretty reasonably well.
Very glad I went with this product. Lots of work, but huge payoff. I had plenty of left over wood and made my counter tops out of it - that turned out great as well.

Unbelivably beautiful floor. We hired professional to install, don't think this job was to do it yourself, you need to know what to use and sequence of operation, but this floor was worth it.

Q:
What grit sand paper is used to sand the floor? Should I start with 40 grit and end with 100?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Companies like Bona Kemi have excellent products, equipment, and information for finishing floors (http://www.bona.com/en/US/Craft/).Q:
I currently have ceramic tile 1/2 inch durock over 3/4 plywood and 7\16 osb. This is 1 11/16 total thickness. Can I remove the ceramic and nail down or staple thru the durock and into the wood subfloor? Or do I have to remove the Durock? The durock is screwed every 6 inches in all directions and would be a mess to remove. If I cannot nail or staple down, what are my options? Really like this flooring and have about 1500 sq ft to install if possible.1 answer

can this unfinished solid wood flooring be installed using the floating installation method? I am concerned about sanding a floating floor.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
We do not recommend floating solid flooring ever unless it's installed with our Elastilon. Type Elastilon here for details - http://www.lumberliquidators.com/custserv/aboutus.jsp?pageName=Flooring101Q:
Since it is recommended that you "pre drill" for nailing into this flooring, how would that work if you rent a flooring nailer to install it? I don't think you could pre drill for that installation method.1 answer
A:
The full sentance goes on to state; If however, surface dimpling or tongue fracture occurs when nailing the denser species, drilling pilot holes and hand nailing may be required.
