We installed in our LR and halls. Installation during floating process was very simple. Boards locks together perfectly with the use of glue. It's a little thin but very beautiful once installed. Please inspect your wood though. We didnt inspect it first and once we got started, we noticed about two boxes of bad wood. the boards had some black streaks and marks on it. it was not cleanable and not sure how it happened. had to return to the store. Great wood for the price! It turned out beautifully!

A Beautiful Product

Once my contractor finished installation and I walked in to view the floor, I fell in love. It is so beautiful. I never thought hardwood floors would make me swoon, but it happened. They gleam so nicely. Thanks, LL!

  This has a very thin wear layer.
  Full refinishing will take slightly under a 1/32” off the veneer of the wood flooring. The thickness of the veneer and how much wear and dents a floor has will determine how many times it can be refinished. Solid hardwood that is ¾” thick may be refinished 4 to 7 or more times depending on how much wood was taken off on each refinishing. Low profile solid wood flooring like 5/16” thick flooring may be able to be refinished twice if the flooring is in good shape. Engineered flooring with a 1/8” wear layer or more will be able to be refinished at least once. If the engineered product has a 1/16” wear layer a professional sander may be able to refinish it, but many won’t take the chance in case they make a mistake and take too much off the wear layer. We recommend that hardwood floor refinishing be done by a professional and if your not sure if you can refinish your flooring have professional sand and finish expert come to your home and evaluate your flooring.   The Janka hardness test is done only on solid wood products and does not apply to a veneered flooring product, engineerd flooringis not solid wood and only the thin surface veneer has the botanical species on it.
