Comments about Casa de Colour 3/4" x 2-1/4" Butter Rum Oak:
Very happy with this product. Wanted to match existing floors (installed 1949) as much as possible. Color has more rosey tone than my orangey floors but I'm OK with that considering the age of the floors. I love that each piece of wood is different with changes in wood grain and some lighter or darker pieces. If you are looking for complete uniformity between boards this product may not be for you. Easy to install with pnuematic nailer. I was able to salvage some of the few warped boards by cutting the ends and installing where cut end meets the wall. Can be refinished in future as with any all-hardwood floor. The two complaints I have:
1. The short ends do not butt tightly together because there is a slight bevel cut into each end. This makes placing the seams consistently throughout the floor more important than it might have been and the seams are more noticeable.
2. The boards are cut at random lengths making the job of creating the floor pattern more difficult. I tried to solve this problem by sorting all of the boards prior to installation in 4-5 piles of approximately the same length and using a drywalling T-square to get the board closest in length to what I needed for that row. Probably works best with smaller rooms.
Bottom line: great product for people trying to match older floors - almost identical. Skip the extra work of sanding, staining and polyurethane. Yay!

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/4" x 2-1/4" Butter Rum Oak:
the wood have too many samll pieces, too many greenish part, notty, not uniform.
for the same labor cost, I should buy better quality wood, except that I tried to match two
year old floor which came from the same company, it turned out not as good as last product. For twenty-five year warranty wood, it is too easy to get scrached.very very dsiappointed. The delivery was too long and sevice are not up to per.

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/4" x 2-1/4" Butter Rum Oak:
Ordered this flooring to replace my ugly carpet in family room. Already had hardwood floor in the kitchen and foyer area, so tried to match new floor to the old one. Provided sample looked the same, howerver when i installed the floor, it was not as shiny... probably matte finish, not semi-gloss, still love it. Installation was ok and very little waste. Also, it looks more rich in real life then in the piture.

Will this floor work well and hold up on a stairway and hallway?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes, 3/4" hardwood flooring with matching nosing is an excellent way to cover a staircase. For safety, stairs parts should be both nailed and glued. Working from the bottom step to the top step, apply about 1/2" thick bead of adhesive to the back of each board in an "S" type pattern then Nail the tongues.Q:
How difficult is this product to install?1 answer
A:
This would depend on your skill level.
