Comments about Virginia Mill Works 3/4" x 4-3/4" Cambridge Oak Handscraped:
This is a great product we have several pets and did not want to go through the staining and finishing process. I found several of the 24" long boards to be wider than the rest so i had to plane down the grove side to fit better.

Comments about Virginia Mill Works 3/4" x 4-3/4" Cambridge Oak Handscraped:
We installed this Cambridge Oak Handscraped 3 years ago, then there were too many 12" pieces we didn't use. We installed the Cambridge Oak this month in the bedroom and they have changed and the boxes had no short 12" piecies this time; the shortest were 18" which made the install easier.
We like the look of the 5" wide boards and the rounded over edges hide imperfections. Our grand dog runs and slides on the floor with his long toe nails and we have no scratches. This is the color and design we like best out of all to choose from. Cambridge Oak Handscraped usually goes on sale for about $3.99 SF.

Comments about Virginia Mill Works 3/4" x 4-3/4" Cambridge Oak Handscraped:
This floor turned out beautifully. It has a rich color, and the handscraped texture makes it feel more casual and rustic. The great quality of the cut and finish of the planks made installation very easy. So glad we did it.

Comments about Virginia Mill Works 3/4" x 4-3/4" Cambridge Oak Handscraped:
Installed over 1000sq.ft and install went very smoothly and floors look amazing. 6 months later now and the floor has opened up too many gaps to count, some up to 3/16" wide. Flooring was acclimated to the home for 1 month and it still moved this much. Not impressed at all. I will stick with the engineered Virginia Millworks products as I have installed many thousands of square feet of that and no gaps whatsoever. Very disappointed as are the clients.

Very easy to install - a number of shorter pieces but we worked around that by using several boxes at a time.

Comments about Virginia Mill Works 3/4" x 4-3/4" Cambridge Oak Handscraped:
I had mine installed by Daniel who was a professonal recommended by Lumber Liquidators. I can't tell you how wonderful he was to work with and what a BEAUTIFUL job he did! He was very professional yet friendly. I love my floors! I am going to have Daniel install the same flooring in my bedroom the first chance I get! The flooring is just beautiful and it wears very well, even with dogs on it. I ripped up my Bellawood which I hated and put the handscraped Cambridge Oak and I am so happy I did! Very Happy Customer!

Comments about Virginia Mill Works 3/4" x 4-3/4" Cambridge Oak Handscraped:
There should be at least 4 pieces that are as long as the box. The lone long piece was shorter than the box, and way too many pieces that were about 12 inches long. Made it hard to layout the pattern.
Still we love the look, we now plan to use it in our living room.

Comments about Virginia Mill Works 3/4" x 4-3/4" Cambridge Oak Handscraped:
We like the look of the wood. The description on the invoice said pieces are in random lengths from 11.8 - 59". In 10 boxes we had no pieces over 37 inches and not very many at that (4/box). Also it said the average length would be 27.5". Because of the many short pieces under 18 inches, I bet the average was around 21"
Also, some boards were not the same width so it caused some minor gaps. The wood was also harder to bend to fit due to the short lengths. However, we had very little waste, probably less than 3%. Also, this is the fourth floor I have done and I was able to deal with and minimize the gaps. I would recommend it because in the end we were happy with it although the specs did not meet what was described.
Comments about Virginia Mill Works 3/4" x 4-3/4" Cambridge Oak Handscraped:
We installed this item ourselves in our livingroom and dining room. It is absolutely beautiful. My only complaint is that many of the boards were cut incorrectly length-wise. That caused several LARGE cracks between boards(like, see-through-to-the-subfloor-large" cracks). Thank goodness my husband had the right tools and really cared about doing the job right. Paid installers wouldnt have taken the time to FIX the cracks, they would have just masked it with a filler. If you don't mind a little extra work these floors are amazing. Otherwise, I'd go with a higher quality floor and pay a little more to avoid the headache!

Q:
can i float this material1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Generally no, we do not recommend tongue and groove glue floating solid flooring. However this can be achieved with great success when you use Elastilon as your installation system. Elastilon Self Adhesive Underlayment is a good option for any flat subfloor. You can use up to 3/4" thick or thinner solid or tongue and groove engineered flooring (works best with 1/2" or thicker). Floating with Elastilon needs to have an expansion break for spans over 33' on it's width, but not length.Q:

Excerpt from our installation instructions;Q:
cambridge Oak handscraped how do you fix minor scratches?1 answer
A:
Wood floors like furniture will scratch and dent if not properly protected. It is recommended to use felt furniture pads under the furniture legs. Pet nails should be kept trimmed and sharp objects (including high heels) kept off the floor. Often scratches can be adequately repaired using liquid scratch covers. Dents and nicks can be filled using wood floor repair kits available at your local home store. If your floor is severely damaged please consult a professional about refinishing or an individual board replacement may be all that’s needed. Scuffs can often be removed by rubbing the spot with mineral spirits on a cloth rag. Thank you for your inquiry..Q:
