    Can't believe the noise difference

    By Murphy

    from Green Bay, WI

    Verified Reviewer

This product was an unexpected plus to my new floor. I purchased on the recomendation of the wonderful sales people in De Pere, WI. Simply walking on the floor is undeniably quieter than with out. I had family over when I was about half done, and they couldn't believe the sound difference. One caution, is to staple this product down and tape the seams on top as well as use the adhesive strip on the bottom. This is really important on the first couple of rows when you are trying to get everything nice and straight. If its not attached to the floor, it will move and make it much harder to install those first few most important rows.

All in All a very good product that I would buy again

                    • Works well

                      Best Uses

It installed pretty easily and functions well. The only con is that it is a little cumbersome to deal with the adhesive, and cuts become tears if your blade is not perfectly sharp. Otherwise, it's a great product.

                          Best Uses

I used this padding in addition to the padding that comes attached to the laminate flooring already. Helps to cut down on noise. It was easy to lay out, a bit of a pain to cut with the attached plastic underneath.

                            Best Uses

This product did not deaden any discernible sound in our application. Pergo Max over a wood sub-floor. We rolled it out, clicked together a bunch of pieces and tapped on it with golf balls and you could not hear even the slightest difference in sound. Not worth the $600 we spent on it.

quality product. soft enough, eliminated need for knee pads while installing floating floor.

went down easy. including directions are pathetic.

Easy to install with scissors and utility knife. I installed about 900 sq. ft. in my basement under laminate. The underlayment helped deaden sound of the laminate.

We do not recommend two layers of padded underlayment for any application. Risk of your joints not being properly supported would result.
