We installed this floor in our dining room in October of 2011. We are still really happy with it. We had never installed a hardwood floor before so we have nothing to compare it to, but the installtion seemed fairly easy. Took us two weekends (and a couple evening hours during the week) to tear out carpet and install hardwood in a 12 x 12 space. We did have a few boards that didn't fit exactly, but we just set those aside and did not use them.
Our poorly trained dog occasionaly uses the dining room as his bathroom...this was a big concern when we decided to put the floor in. He urinates on the floor about once a month and the floor looks like it did the day we installed it. We make sure to use our steam mop as soon as we notice the spots. Most of the time, we don't notice until the spot has already dried on the floor. The floor also does not show scratches from dog toenails. The floor is really tough!
We would definitely recommend this floor. We are currently saving $$ to put the floor in the rest of our first floor. It is beautiful to look at, the color and patterns are stunning.

Beautiful, rich floors with lots of natural distress and variations in the wood. The butcher block makes it more so because each 8" board has many variations and colors. The wood is very hard, as we found out during the install, which made the install more challenging. The 8" boards also contributed to making the install a bit challenging but overall we are very pleased with the floor. I have been noticing that if I don't keep up on cleaning it, dust shows easily and I have noticed that it is a bit slippery which should resolve with time.

very durable but seems like some planks were more narrow in size leaving us with gaps they said floor would expand and contact with the weather, but never goes back , dirt debree gets in between boards. They did nothing to help us with this.

I have a slab home? Can I put this on a slab?1 answer
A:
This product question would be better answered by our Sales Department, they are more familiar with all of our flooring products and can better assist you with your questions.Q:
Can this be used on a bathroom floor?1 answer
A:
Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:

You can install a "floating" product over a tiled floor.
