We liked the floor so much we changed the scope. We are now installing it throughout the house - including the kitchen, living room and 3 bedrooms. A great and durable floor for our family - with kids and pets. The only challenge that we had was making specialized cuts in the bamboo -- the bamboo is hard.
The wood is harder than most so it was a little more difficult to get it nailed but it was well worth the extra effort. The look is rustic--with more browns with black accents than gold or red tones. It doesnt really look like the other bamboo products. It was a perfect choice for our bedroom and office--I think it is going to hold up very well.
Service and delivery comments:
No issues with service or delivery--it was a very smooth, efficient process. This is my second big purchase with Lumber Liquidators and we couldn't be happier with the process.

I had a picture in my head how this would look once installed and it exceeds my imagination! The colors are rich, beautifully smooth wood, and super easy to keep clean. I only wish we had a larger area to put it in...380 square feet just isn't enough for me

You can glue to well secured flat level ceramic tile or concrete free of contaminates, moisture and sealers. When sealers are suspected you can have false bond issues; either abrade, scarify, or bead blast the finish or remove the existing tile.Q:

After harvesting, bamboo flooring is kiln-dried for optimum service. During transit, delivery and storage, bamboo flooring must be protected from moisture. Bamboo is hygroscopic, meaning its size and shape changes with the absorption or release of moisture. The amount of change varies with species, cut, and type of flooring. Therefore, controlling bamboo moisture content (mc) is important for success. First, acclimate the new flooring in the areas to be installed to the expected environment that the floor will service while in the boxes. To speed up the acclimation processes or if products are packaged in plastic, open the ends of the boxes. Remove any plastic that is around the outside of boxes. To prevent board warping, twisting or bowing do not cut the plastic support packaged bindings or remove product from the cardboard packaging until ready to install. The length of acclimation time is not the determining factor. The goal is to reach an indoor equilibrium or balance between the core of the new flooring with its surroundings before assembly, fastening or installation. This balance could be achieved in as little as 1 to 5 days for most products or longer extended conditioning is not unusual for very dense species like strand bamboo and others. For best performance, condition and maintain the flooring to consistent indoor temperatures of 60°-80° F and indoor humidity levels of 30% - 50%. Depending on your local jobsite situations the use of a dehumidifier or a humidifier may be necessary to maintain the desired results. Very dry or humid regions of the country usually require extended conditioning to balance the bamboo to the environment it will service. Proper jobsite conditions, acclimation, moisture testing of the subfloor and new flooring all work together for the success of the installation, and is the responsibility of those overseeing the project. Not following the above recommendations can negatively impact board performance and can result in excessive movement, squeaks, board gapping, board-edge cupping, finish and other related issues. This is especially true regarding flooring in seasonal or vacation homes without proper indoor climate conditions.Q:
