I had this product installed in my living room, it turned out beautiful.

We had this flooring installed in our living and dining rooms. We love the look of the dark wood and the hand scraped finish. The only downsides are that the dark color shows dust easily and there are a few areas that creek when walked on due to the floating installation. Other than that we are very happy with our purchase!!!

We replaced carpet in our dining room with the Lake Tana Handscrapped engineered hardwood floors and love them! My wife now wants me to put them in the hallway...and living room...and bathroom!!!

Put this floor in kitchen, dining room, and front entry. Floor installed easily and looks terrific. But it does indeed scratch and gouge very easily . Have many areas now that have deep gouge marks from chairs and the chairs even had felt bottoms that we put on to prevent this. Only disappointment so if it is because of the thickness or birch just make sure you get a harder more durable flooring and even it cost a little more per sq'. Cause as I see it this floor will be ruined in a couple more years if something heavy drops on it, it's at the point where we are afraid to slide a chair out from the table :(. Looks beautiful though. Lol

We put these floors in a hotel room. High traffic with lots of hard use.It has held up to guests' rolling luggage and general abuse. Easy to clean and maintain.

Have not laid the floor yet, but it is gorgeous. Lots of handscraped details. My husband wants to do the entire 2nd floor of our home. I would not suggest placing it in a high traffic area or an area where pets reside. It will show every speck of dirt and hair.

Can this product be installed throughout the house, including kitchen and bathroom on grade? Would moisture barrier only be needed in kitchen and bath?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes, engineered is acceptable for installation in a kitchen or a powder room. It is recommend to put a throw rug by the sink and tub because an excess of water can damage wood or any floor for that matter. Also you will need to wipe up water as soon as possible. However a full bathroom that is showered in everyday may not be the best location for hardwood. Often there is too much water on the floor or humidity that can be absorbed into the flooring resulting in board edge cupping. Engineered floorings are most recommended for these areas.Q:
