This floor has a beautiful finish! No board is exactly alike and has great texture in the handscraped finish...the dark edges of the board give it a great rustic yet luxurious feel. I installed the floor in the living and dining room, plan to do more in the future. Great product installs super easy, it does scratch, but with the rustic boards it makes it hard to tell....I have to get on my hands and knees to see them. And really, its flooring you are on iy everyday...anything will scratch!!! Fix the scratches with a brown and black sharpie and you will never know! :) I have to give kudos to the Portland store...I visited them several times (they recognized me when I came in) they were so patient and helpful with making my decision that when I finally did, I knew I made the right one! Thanks guys!

This is the 3rd time I have used this flooring, this time in my own home. Can't beat the quality for the price. We put down 400 square feet in a little under 4 hours, and had lots of doors/trim to work around. Literally had about 2 square feet of waste. I rarely take the time to write a review for anything, but I am so pleased with this floor I had to pass it on.

We installed this product in an office and dining room and just love it. We are now going to install in the entire downstairs of our home. It is easy to install and I was stunned on number of long boards in the boxes. I clearly expected most of the boards to be smaller lengths but that was not the case. There are 4 different sizes and most were the long ones. With the different sizes it was easy to lay out and install. There was 3, yes 3 square feet of waste after installing 351 square feet of floor. That is less than 1%! Great product and great price.

I have done two rooms with this Potomac Plank, in a late 1700's colonial house...it installs easily, and looks great.

We havent installed it yet, but put a few pieces together, and it is very easy to install. But what i didnt like was the 'mixed length' pieces. it is so you can stagger the pieces, but there are way too many little ones, in my opinion.

Can you steam clean this floor?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
• STEAM CLEANERS OR WET-JET swiffer; Lumber Liquidators does not recommend "Water brooms" "Wet-Jet Swiffers or steamer type cleaners on laminates, corks or hardwood floors. Although steamers may work well cleaning OTHER types of hard surface flooring, the 130° to 240° heated steam vapor can ruin wood or urethane finish resulting in warped or cupped flooring. Water and wood do not mix well, especially steam. Use these products at your own risk.Q:

I apologize for this misinformation, The Veneer Thickness spec is 1.6 mm .Q:
What do I use to clean this floor? We bought it in part because it was advertised as easy care. However, the instructions say to vacuum and not use any liquid cleaners. Obviously there are times when you need more than a vacuum to get up dried on things.1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.Q:
Can this be floated over Vinyl? If so what underlayment/pad/paper is needed?1 answer

A:
Virginia Mill Works engineered wear layer is 2mm. It has 7 coats of Treffert or Klumpp (made in Germany) highly resistant polyurethane finish with aluminum oxide anti-scratch and a 55% gloss.Q:
would this product be alright on a kitchen floor? and hold up getting wet.1 answer
A:
Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.Q:
Can this be installed over a mobil home floor? If so what would be the steps?1 answer
A:
Yes you can!
