Comments about Prefinished Australian Cypress Stair Nose:
My husband and my 72 year old mother installed this floor in our Montana log cabin. A floor nailer and tapping block was all they needed to install the Australian Cyprus. Mitered corners around the stair well were a little tricky, but otherwise it was very simple. The finish and feel are unbeatable!

Comments about Prefinished Australian Cypress Stair Nose:
Replacement of old flooring in small hallway area. It is now the nicest part of the hallway, now I have to fix up everything else, repaint, doors, etc... First time putting down hardwood floor (T&G), actually it came out pretty good. I cracked my first board but that was it. If that was my learning curve it was well worth it. Great Product!

Q:
Can this flooring be put down on a concrete slab? If so, how?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes. This can be floated or glued or use Elastilon (as your installation system).Q:
Is there any chance of dents or scratches from furniture legs?1 answer
A:
Moving heavy furniture over a hardwood floor can cause scratches. A good preventive measure is to use felt pads under the furniture to avoid unwanted scratches. Use floor protectors under desks and wide-load bearing rollers to minimize indentations and scratches from heavy objects such as office desk chairs. As a rule, the heavier the object, the wider the floor protector. Feel free to contact our product specialists at 800-476-0007 with any additional questions or to further discuss your project. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:

Can you use throw rugs over engineered wood flooring?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes, rotating on occasion is wise for even UV lightning effect on the flooring. When using area rugs, use a rug pad with a felt, plant or PVC based backing. DO NOT use area rugs with a petroleum based rubber backing (typically black) as this can cause permanent chemical staining/etching of the floor finish.Q:
does this have a sound barrier on the bottom?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
This is a real wood multi-ply floor with a red oak veneer 3.5 mm thick and a wood bottom. There is no padding attached like you can find on some of our laminate flooring.
