          • Q:

I installed your Koa using floating installation. Love it BTW!

The floor has a lengthy transition where the koa meets ceramic tile. The ceramic tile is about 1/4 inch higher than the koa. I used T molding but the pieces keep coming loose due to the height difference which makes the T molding rock when stepped on. Will this reducer be the answer to my problem?

              A:

Generally an end camp is used against tile (or any floor) that is higher. Glad to hear you like the flooring!

          • Q:

The floor will transition to tile that is 1/8 inch lower. Should this reducer be used, or will t-molding work better with the size difference?

              A:

For a 1/8" height difference you can use a T-molding. If you go with a Reducer you may have to modify it so the overlapping piece will sit flat to the floor.

What are the dimensons of the reducer? I have purchased the Koa laminate, but I believe I need a reducer.

Laminate reducers are made to fit the floors they compliment. They are 1.5" wide and 7.5' lengths. Feel free to contact our product specialists at 1-800-476-0007 with any additional questions.
