Love the material. Came in lengths longer than I needed so it cost me more than I wanted to spend, but bought it anyway to complete the job.

I purchased the Schon 'Brazilian Redwood'. Great product. No complaints. Like most of the Brazilian's, it is a hard species of wood, so this makes nailing a challenge, at times. [...] So, in the end, I would definitely recommend LL in the future.

we wanted a wood that was somewhat uniform in color and the store sample was a uniform color. What we got showed lots of color changes. Anywhere from very blond to chocolate dark.

This was a replace in an entry way.
The wood looks amazing. Changed the entire appearance of the room.
My installers had a rought time with the "bostic" glue that was recommended. It took a long time to set up. Extensive clean up. The wood looks great. I will use it again in my dinging room.
                      That first scratch hurt!

I would not recommend this; the heat and humidity may adversely affect the product.

Can we install laminate over old carpet?

No, any carpet will have to be removed because it offers no moisture protection or support to the locking system..

                          A:

To be honest I don't believe laminate flooring or vinyl flooring would be a good choice for a dance floor. Stress on the floor from dancing, movement, and deflection can cause a laminate locking system to break and cause separation. Most dance floor systems use solid nail down hardwood or engineered nail down flooring. We work with a company called Dura Dance floors that are experts at installing dance floors if you like you can give them a call at (888) 229-8281.

Is this a "floating" floor, or does it need to be glued down? I would be putting this over concrete and am a newbie to this kind of work. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This is a click together floating floor that will be installed over an approved under layment and moisture barrier.
