We used this bamboo for our living room, dining room and family room. It looks beautiful. The only problem with the stair nose is that the planks were different widths. When we ran out of one box and had to open another we found this out and couldn't install it. The difference was about 1/4 inch, though all boxes were labeled the same. If you use this, be sure to open all boxes and check so that when you wrap the stairs you leave the correct space.
We called LL and found that their other packages were also cut larger than the indicated width. We did find one box at another location much farther away that was correct. Driving to get that was much better than taking the pieces to be cut at a shop, or starting over. Keep in mind that, though beautiful when finished, you should not install yourself. Hire a professional for this particular bamboo. It is VERY hard to work with as both of the installers we used made clear, and that way you're covered if it gets messed up.

I ordered these stair noses along with the stranded carbonized bamboo flooring for my stairs, but I was a little disappointed to find that the color of these stair noses is a lot lighter than the bamboo flooring.

The bamboo floor has been installed, but until the carpeting goes in today we have not installed this transitional item.

I would suggest waiting for the nosing before you cut the piece that will meet the nosing because they can vary slightly in dimensions.
