          A:

          Generally no, we do not recommend tongue and groove glue floating solid flooring. However this can be achieved with great success when you use Elastilon as your installation system. Elastilon Self Adhesive Underlayment is a good option for any flat subfloor. You can use up to 3/4" thick or thinner solid or tongue and groove engineered flooring (works best with 1/2" or thicker). Floating with Elastilon needs to have an expansion break for spans over 33' on it's width, but not length.

        Can I use this with staple up radiant heat?

          A:

          Excerpt from our installation instructions;
          RADIANT HEAT
          Engineered wood and floating floors (floors not attached to the subfloor) are most recommended for radiant heat. However, if you should choose to use solid wood for this application select species with the best stability ratings. Be aware that even species with better dimensional stability characteristics cannot predictably be guaranteed to perform well over radiant heat. Therefore, solid wood applications over radiant in-floor heat is not recommended nor warranted. Because of the wide array of in-floor heating systems on the market each with its own features and limitations please consult with your radiant flooring provider for installation methods and application advice.You can find complete installation instructions on the product page by clicking on the specs tab and then clicking on - Installation Guide.pdf

        cambridge Oak handscraped how do you fix minor scratches?

          A:

          Wood floors like furniture will scratch and dent if not properly protected. It is recommended to use felt furniture pads under the furniture legs. Pet nails should be kept trimmed and sharp objects (including high heels) kept off the floor. Often scratches can be adequately repaired using liquid scratch covers. Dents and nicks can be filled using wood floor repair kits available at your local home store. If your floor is severely damaged please consult a professional about refinishing or an individual board replacement may be all that’s needed. Scuffs can often be removed by rubbing the spot with mineral spirits on a cloth rag. Thank you for your inquiry..
