  • Q:

I bought the T-molding, but it did not come with any track to put it down. Is this a mistake? If not, how do I get the track to snap it into?

This does not come with any track, these types are generally installed as any solid hardwood installation would be. However, this is for a floating bamboo floor. You can use a urethane adhesive in a caulking tube and apply a thick bead of adhesive directly to the subfloor and sit the molding in place allowing the bottom of the T-molding to sit into the adhesive. Apply weights on top of the molding until the adhesive cures. If the bottom of the molding does not reach the subfloor, cut a shim and glue it to the bottom of the t-molding and once cured glue the whole piece to the subfloor. The T-molding has a total thickness of 1/2" the vertical part of the T-molding is about 1/4" thick.

Yes you could glue it down using a 100% urethane construction adhesive.
