Had my installer recommend this product, and he uses it every time he installs a new wood floor in my home. Looke very easy to cut to size and lays flat w/o problems.

Used this under a hickory hardwood floor my company put down. After screwing down a lot of loose boards in the pine sub-floor we laid the underlayment down. It took away, or at least soften the squeaks by about 92%. I was very impressed and so were my clients.

We loved that it came with it's own built in tape and added plastic barrier. We had a hard time cutting it close to the walls, but that's probably because it's so thick, which is a good thing. The floors are not loud at all when we walk on them. I was expecting it to be louder so I am very happy. It's the echo that is loud.

Easy to use. The taped seams stay put. I used a couple floor scraps to hold the ends down till I installed the flooring. Came out nice.

Any lesser padding would have not done the job. If you are putting the time and money into the wood make sure and get this padding to make the job complete.

My only disappointment was that several pieces were damaged because of the banding material that held the boxed flooring to the pallet it was delivered on.

I am putting Bellawood engineered oak in a dry basement, as a floating floor. I have purchased Bellawood Platinum Underlayment, which has a built in moisture barrier. But the silver moisture barrier is on the top side, not on the side that faces the concrete. Am I also supposed to put a 6 mil poly moisture barrier underneath this Platinum Underlayment product? If not, I would think that the paper side of the Platinum underlayment would wick moisture up from the concrete.

I am installing 80 sq ft of 5/8 x 3 3/4" solid bamboo flooring on the 9th floor of a condo building. Does this underlayment get glued down and then the flooring gets glued to it? If so, does the smooth side go down? Also, how necessary is the glue and can the underlayment float as well as the flooring? The glue shipped to me is both Exmore Pro and Exmore Max.

Can We staple down Bellawood Premium Underlayment to the subfloor so that it doesn't move around while moving boards around and walking around on it - or is better to just use the tacky seal that comes on it so that we don't puncture the barrier?
                                                      Thank You...
