The purple underlay is exceptional. Well constructed and consistent across 10 rolls. The plastic flap adheres to the prior roll with a built-in adhesive strip - brilliant. Make the whole flooring project a breeze.

My cement pad and concrete floor over that pad were riddled with potholes, divots and uneven areas. This subflooring was amazing and my bamboo floor came out perfect with it. Was extremely durable and tight, to make up for the hills and valleys my underfloor offered it.

He showed us a golf ball dropping on a board without this underneath & it really seemed to deaden the sound. NOT, I exercise above our bedroom & the sound of me doing jumping jacks to those sleeping below is like elephants dancing. Not worth the money.

This is some of the best underlayment I have used. It is especially good for old, uneven floors. It helps alleviate the uneven portions (I put a double layer in a few areas)and the planks cannot shift so easily. In a few rooms I used the regular rosen paper, but the difference is huge.
It also helps when nailing down the wood; it does not slide or move as much as with rosen paper.

I picked it up from the store. LL does not deliver at home in my area.

This was supposed to be well suited for the click lock strand-woven bamboo, and result in less of a hollow sounding floor. After leveling the floor to the recommended specifications and installing this between the slab and flooring material, the floor still sounds like a hollow drum. It's good material, but was over-sold.

This was a great product... loved the sticky stip and plastic overlay... made it easy to see if the strips were straight. Very thick, good quality. Downside of that is that it is hard to cut if your blade gets dull. Never used before, definitely will again!

What if I installed the underlayment with the purple moisture barrier down, not up? Does this affect the integrity of the product?

I am preparing to install 3/4"x5" bolivian rosewood over your premium underlayment. Do you recommend glueing down the underlayment to the subfloor?

Not necessary. Bellawood Premium Underlayment can be loose laid per instructions and flooring according to Bellawood Flooring naildown instructions.

If used in an upstairs flat, how well does it stop the transmission of sound to a unit below? How does it compare to carpeting?

Installing laminate on concrete floor with old ceramic tile on top. Some of the tiles are missing (all located in same place in hallway). Rest of floor in tact. Will this even out any uneven flooring as well as the missing tile?
