I purchased this product because of the variability in character of the individual boards. However, many (~20%) of the purchased boards had to be culled because of serious flaws which resulted in having to purchase more wood. Additionally, once the floor was laid obvious surface defects had to be sanded out and revarnished and knots filled before I could use the floor. Because of the wood defects it took much longer than expected to get a floor I could live with.

We bought this flooring for a bedroom remodel. Absolutely love the variation and detail in the boards. It went down fairly easy (husband is a contractor) and was quite impressed with how it looked. I was able to pick and choose random worm holes, knots and other imperfections that I WANTED in the floor. Easy to keep clean with a dust mop and gives the bedroom so much character. I am not a big fan of solid color flooring and this fit perfectly with my remodel.

What is the normal length of hardwood flooring pieces? Is there anything else wrong with this flooring other than the pieces being short? Is this product sold in boxes as opposed to in open bundles? Is it stained or just clear coated? How many coats are on it?1 answer
A:
The shorts will have peices that range from 12" up to 36" there is nothing else wrong with the flooring and it is prefinished materail, sorry I am not aware of the number of coats of finish based on this being a Major BrandQ:
How many times can you refinish this flooring?1 answer
A:
Full refinishing will take slightly under a 1/32” off the top of the wood flooring. The thickness of the flooring and how much wear and dents a floor has will determine how many times it can be refinished. Solid hardwood that is ¾” thick may be refinished 4 to 7 or more times depending on how much wood was taken off on each refinishing. Engineered flooring with a 1/8” wear layer or more will be able to be refinished at least once. We recommend that hardwood floor refinishing be done by a professional and if your not sure if you can refinish your flooring have professional sand and finish expert come to your home and evaluate your flooring. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
