Comments about Summer Retreat Teak Laminate Reducer w/Track:

does not work with 12 mm thick flooring. It leaves 3/8 gap between the existing floor and the bottom of the transition moulding.

      Service and delivery comments:

I was not e-mailed or called when my back order moulding arrived. I called after 7 weeks to find out if it had arrived and was told at that time that it was there.

Comments about Summer Retreat Teak Laminate Reducer w/Track:

I was not sure how this flooring was going to look and to my surprise it turn out great. It does look like hardwood floors. Also, it does seem resistant to scratching but I havent had the floor for long. I want to see how it will do with water as it is install in a hall with an entrance to bathroom. As for now, it is a good price for a good product.

              • Q:

Do I need to use glue for the transition pieces and for the reducers -- THey are being applied over concrete floors. The reducer will be between laminate and ceramic tile rooms. The t strip will be between 2 rooms of laminate (Long space)?
Asked on 8/2/2010 by Betty from Florida

                • Staff Reviewer

                  A:

Both transitions will have a track that can be glued to the floor using construction adhesive.
You should glue down the track the day before needing to install the transition so it has a chance to bond.
