Quick Installation Tips:
- Store flooring flat for 48 hours in its original packaging at room temperature.
- Must be installed over a clean, stable, flat, smooth, and dry surface.
- Moisture barrier is required for installations over concrete.
- Make sure the panels are mixed sufficiently when you install them so that you do not end up with too many identical, light or dark panels next to each other.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE ADDITIONAL PADDING:
Laminates having pre-attached padding can be installed over an underlayment. When doing so, Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of our Bellawood Premium underlayment or ECO Silent Sound underlayment. These quality underlayments will best support the joints while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities and are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.

St. James Collection's Advantages:

- No glue and no nails needed
- Easy Click Installation
- Moisture resistant board
- Thickness: 12mm + 3mm (1/8") pre-glued underlayment

For a laminate product, it looks sturdy and feels solid. The additional 3mm built-in pad made it very comfortable to walk on. The installation was also very easy. It tool only a day to finish up a 280 sq. area. Compared to my sister's floor installation (she used a different manufacturer, but same installer), laying this one down was a breeze!

We put this flooring in the main floor of our townhouse. It looks great and it seems easy to maintain. We've only had it for a week, so I'll have to see how it holds up. It was easy to install once we got the hang of the three different length boards. It's a clean, modern look and contrasts great with dark wood furniture.

All prior floors I have installed involved either gluing (yuck!) or click/lock (best). All prior click/lock required folding in a slat and then tapping that slat into the immediately preceding slat in the same row. But this brand, St. James, was designed to fit perfectly with no tapping required - you just fold it in exactly up against the immediately preceding slat in the row. Fantastic!!!

I bought this item on sale. Good quality and nice price. My bedroom is around 150 square feet, I use 9 boxes of material, I will recommend this product. Only thing is very sensitive to water.

Can't say enough about how easy this product was to use. Once we realized that 3 lengths of boards required a little attention to pattern, we just looked ahead so no repeated patterns came about. Very little waste. Snapped together with little effort. Underlayment was the hardest part, but not difficult. What a transition from a tired carpet and linoleum to an updated mobile home. Four women over 50 did the whole thing in a weekend and impressed the entire neighborhood!

                                            Service and delivery comments:

The local store in West Palm Beach was great! Excess product was returned with no problem. This branch in particular was very accommodating.

I was excited when I bought this because it looked really nice. I thought it would wear better and be tough, this was not the case. It has a 30 year warranty but how do you collect when this is being phased out or discontinued?

I wished I would have spent the extra money for the real bamboo flooring.

Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.

Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.

I am installing Dream Home - St. James 12mm Szechuan Ming Bamboo Laminate over concrete. When I opened the box I see that there are 3 precut pieces of lumber, 1 long and 2 shorter pieces. I am told I need to stagger the pieces; longest, next longest parallel in the middle of the longest, and same manner for the shortest...do I continue this pattern...i.e. after I start with the longest, do I next put the 2nd longest after the longest, and so forth?

We recommend staggering the seams randomly keeping the seams spaced between 6"-12". Try to avoid a ladder pattern or H-pattern. If you still need assistance please contact our Tech and Install department (800)366-4204.

Floating flooring is great over concrete subfloor as you can install a moisture barrier easily and inexpensively. Vinyl floating flooring would be the best for damp basements and does not even require a moisture barrier as with all other floating laminate or engineered flooring.

A 6 to 8 mil poly sheeting moisture barrier should be laid for laminate and engineered floating floors for an On or Below Grade Concrete subfloor. Overlap seams 4-6" and tape with duct tape. Overlay perimeter 3-4" up wall.

Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.

Yes Laminates can be installed on stairs. For safety reasons these must be fully glued using urethane adhesives, do not use underlayments.
Laminate flooring can be used to cover a set of stairs but due to the overlap design of the stair nosings it would not be my first choice for a full flight of stairs.
