Hello, Wanted to brag. Pictures of our living room attached. Ancient carpet replaced with a combination of birch and rosewood. Thanks to the staff at Lumber Liquidators, who have helped tremendously with their advice (this is just one of the 4 rooms finished so far). Sincerely, Michael M. |

Unsurpassed Beauty, Generation after Generation. Each Bellawood Prefinished Hardwood floor now comes with a Certified 100 Year Transferable Warranty. Sure, we know few people stay in their home for a century. But isn't it nice to see a company so confident in their flooring's finish they're willing to guarantee it for that long? Bolivian Rosewood is a great flooring choice if you are looking for uniqueness and elegance. It ranges from light to medium brown with pink and reddish tones and some occasional black striping. It is an extremely hard wood that performs very well in both, homes and high-traffic business areas.. It Taber Tested "the Best." When subjected to the industry sandpaper abrasion test, known as Taber Testing, Bellawood's durability results were more than double most comparably priced floors. There's good, there's better?and then there's Bellawood.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Bolivian Rosewood:
Width often varied 1/16 to 1/32 at board ends resulting in very small gaps. Also slight variations between tongue and groves. However, it is a beautiful floor and we are pleased.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Bolivian Rosewood:
Bolivian Rosewood was suggested to me by the Lumber Liquidators salesman after we discussed what I liked. It was installed in Feb. '11 and looks great. Did not install it ourselves so can't comment on that.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was about 3 weeks later than originally scheduled so be prepared for that. Product was in good condition. I had very good experiences with every one I dealt with at Lumber Liquidators.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Bolivian Rosewood:
The flooring looks great and was easy to install. We used a 403 porta-nailer and had no problems. There was a good mix of various board lengths, so losses were very low (well less than 5%). It compliments our kitchen cabinets. It is absolutely beautiful. We experienced NO skin irritation from rosewood dust!

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Bolivian Rosewood:
8 years ago I had this floor installed in my home office and it aged beautifully. Upon moving 3 1/2 years ago because I loved the floor in my office I had it installed in the living room, dining room, family room, foyer and upstairs hallway of our new house. It is still a beautiful floor but, without having restricted access like I had in my other house I've noticed that it dents and scratches easily. The scratches don't remove the finished they are more consistant with a dent than a scratch. I've learned to live with the dents/scratches while enjoying the overall beauty of the floors.
If you have large dogs you might want to select a floor that will not dent/scratch as easily as this wood.

Use only Bellawood cleaner! This floor is still beautiful 6 years later. The only bad thing is that it darkens a lot over time! The finish is still perfect. I will buy from this company again because of the ultra durable finish!

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Bolivian Rosewood:
I used much less extra sq ft than suggested. I use 500 sq ft. with very little waste. So I used the 23 sq ft to make stairs treads with a couple of pieces to spare. I put the flooring in two bedrooms and one hallway. The finish is very good. I found a few long board had a slight warp so used them in a closet or where I could straighten them out. Very hard wood that cracks the tongue when staples or nails are put in them.

Q:
how long is the longest board in the 3 1/4 wide?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Select Grade flooring contains natural characteristics such as small knots and minor color variations produced by differences in natural heartwood and sapwood; however, has a more uniform color and longer average plank length compared to Natural grade flooring products. Lengths are random and generally run approximately 12" to 80"Q:
I own a Bostich air driven stapler which I have installed many floors with. Can I staple this floor down with my stapler using Bostich 2 inch staples.1 answer
A:
It "may" work but this Bolivian Rosewood species is over two and a half times harder than Red Oak and couls split with a 16 gauge staple. You may need to go to an 18 gauge cleat nailer.Q:
Is this quarter sawn wood? If not, which ones in your collection is?2 answers

The only quarter sawn products we carry are our unfinished 3/4" x 3 1/4" Rift/Quartersawn Red Oak Flooring #10006950, and 3/4" x 2 1/4" Rift/Quartersawn Red Oak Flooring #10010587CUSTOMER CARE

I have a partial box of Bolivian Rosewood remaining from my flooring project. The question I have relates to the storage of this leftover flooring. Can this flooring be stored in an unheated garage where the temps might go as low a 0°F in the winter, as long as it is allowed to acclimatize before using it?1 answer
A:
No this would not be recommended due to the temperature and moisture changes being extreme and will ruin the flooring.
