We bought this Bellawood Brazilian Mesquite flooring and had it installed in Feb this year and it changed the whole look and feel of the room. The color is very warm and inviting. I was skeptical as to how it would feel under foot at night but it is not as hard or cold as tile, it feels very smooth underfoot. It so easy to keep clean, just swiffer it and it is beautiful, no need to drag out the vac. We love it so much we are putting it in our second bedroom next!

Had a professional installer. Installer warned us that wood floors can be easily scratched. He said keeping it clean is our best defense. The Bellawood cleaner really keeps it looking beautiful. We have two small dogs(20lbs) and their nails do not scratch the floor. [...] So I love the floor and even with the surplus we saved quite a bit of money using Lumber Liquidators.

After MANY hours of shopping and comparing, I was thrilled to find this product! We have replaced four bedrooms of carpeting with this wood, and the results are stunning! It did take longer than anticipated to install -- there are many short pieces, and we chose to nail it. Overall, I would highly recommend this product.

The first shipment I received was not flat so it installed unevenly. The replacement was sent quickly and cheerfully and went down fine.
It looks great & I am very happy with it now. I love the variety of colors from plank to plank. It goes so well with all the variety of woods in my antique furniture

We first installed this flooring in our foyer, family room and the hallway by the bedrooms and loved the way it looked so much that we decided to keep going! So we continued into the formal living room and also the dining room. We have just finished and couldn't be happier. Now all of the main area of our house has wood flooring. The color is rich and the finish is beautiful!
It also cleans up very nicely with just a cotton dust mop with a little of a dust grabbing spray applied to the mop prior to use. If big cleanup issues occur, any of the products recommended for wood floors do great. I have used 2-3 of the most widely known brands.
My 8 month grandson also got sick and his vomitus(UGH!) got on the floor before we got him to the bathroom. I washed the floor with a wet towel and then used a pump spray wood cleaner and it looks beautiful! I didn't even have to use a polishing cleaner. I was amazed! Much cleaner than having carpet.....
My doctor recommended this to help with my asthma, but I would have done it long ago had I known it would be so gorgeous!!
By the way, it looks great up against a built-in oak bookcase and all of our varied wood furniture looks wonderful with it too!!

This flooring is beautiful. We installed throughout our entire first floor(minus the bathroom) and it has completly transformed our home. We were looking for an exotic species with lots of color and character. That's exactly what we got and the variation in color is what we ended up loving the most. We have received many compliments and would not hesitate to recommend this flooring.
I consider myself pretty capable with this type of work, but I believe most could do this install. It can be a little labor intensive, but it's worth it. If I was to give any advice it's this...knee pads are a must and preparation is key. Making sure you have a solid, level subfloor will make your life so much easier when actually installing the flooring. If you skip that step you might regret it.
I did not check the durable box as we only installed it about 2 months ago. As for scratching...I don't care what the hardness rating is or what someone tells you....ALL wood flooring scratches. Pets add to the problem of course. We have some scratching from our 90 lb. dog, but it doesn't take away from the beauty of the flooring as a whole. Bottom line, don't let this stop you from choosing a species of flooring you really like because it will happen with any choice you make.
We love the flooring, the install is pretty straight forward and the end result is a beautiful transformation. We definitely recommend this product.

Fabulous looking warm wood floor, not too dark but handsome. Disadvantage as with most wood floors is can scratch with furniture moving and heels mark floor with every step. But just consider the marks to add character. Everyone raves about the floor and we love it. Even though the boards are narrow, it makes a really fabulous looking floor for a phenomenal price. [...]

We have Brazilian Mesquite installed in our living room, and it is gorgeous. We have a new Shark steam cleaner with a "hardwood low steam" position. For general cleaning a swiffer type system works best. Not one that sprays the floor however. Lightly damp is fine but never soak or flood mop your floor. Do NOT use steam mops. Have a no shoes policy as much as possible. Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often.
