This is a random length wood product that comes 1’ to 7’ in length, the average length is about 3.25'.
Radiant Heat
Solid flooring should not be installed over radiant in-floor heat systems due to finish and stability issues.
Even solid species with better dimensional stability characteristics cannot predictably be guaranteed to perform over radiant heat floors.
Most of our products are plane sawn which results in dimensional change in the width direction
However, all our floating floors (not attached to the subfloor) as they are most recommended for this application.

If tile is flat, level, well secured, and free of contaminates, moisture, and sealers you can glue it down.
When installing strip hardwood over another strip hardwood remember that both floors will want to expand and contract and at their own rates, one essentially riding on the other, subject to excessive squeaking and nail popping. Isolate this normal expansion contraction movement of each by adding 3/8" CDX plywood over the old floor. Or install perpendicular to or at a diagonal to old flooring.Answered on 2/4/2012 by Tech & Install
