This floor is easy to install , is durable and beautiful! Couldn't ask for a better wood product. We did most of our downstairs and we put the floor in ourselves to save money. We are so pleased with this floor. With a 30 year warranty on top of it... You can't beat it

Easy to install - used several boxes at a time to spread out the smaller pieces. We put this in the dining room, great room, foyer and hallway just recently. Not sure how it will hold up to two dogs running around but so far, so good.

This is a beautiful floor! We loved it so much that after we had finished the downstairs(kitchen, living room, hallway that we purchased more to do the master bedroom and stair landing upstairs. I love that it is not too shiny and it has enough variation to be very interesting. I also love that it is so solid. I am not a fan of the floating floors so this 3/4" oak that is nailed down is a perfect fit. Love, love, love it!

Color consistency is an issue with the over-all result of the floor looking darker than the showroom display - could also be the lighting in the showroom.

We are so happy with our flooring choice. LOVE the color variation and the shade of the finish. We wanted something in the "brown" family (no reds) and we go it. Our installer was impressed with the quality of the product and the ease of installation. Highly recommend. We used this in our family room, but will likely use this same flooring in the dining room, living room and on the upstairs landing once the hardwood stairs are installed.

The floor looks great, but can scratch easily. Its also can be a pain to clean in the recessed portions (end gaps, and handscraped grooves). Otherwise, I get a lot of comments on how nice it looks.

My installers finished the Windsor Oak this weekend. Once he was done I stood back and just marveled at the transformation my bedroom/bath/closet had taken on. Absolutely beautiful wood and the best money I have spent on my house and no doubt a value added if I ever sell. I love to be in the room and gives me comfort to admire the quality of true hardwood. Great flooring and absolutely the best price I could find.

A:
For general cleaning a swiffer type system works best. Not one that sprays the floor however. Lightly damp is fine but never soak or flood mop your floor. Do not use steam mops. Have a no shoes policy as much as possible. Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often.

In addition, Bona Kemi makes a decent hardwood flooring cleaner.

This is a solid 3/4" product designed to be nailed to a wood substrate.
But can be installed over concrete using our Elastilon underlayment.
What you should know about Elastilon Strong
An Elastilon-backed wood floor is much faster to install than traditional nail or glue-down methods.
Elastilon Strong can be installed on new concrete floors, handling up to 3.9% moisture content. A vapour barrier of at least 6 mil PE should be used below grade and on newly poured concrete above grade where the moisture content is above 3.9%.
Laid down with a 5/8” (15 mm) expansion gap, Elastilon Strong creates a dynamic, floating floor that expands or contracts naturally with the hardwood.
Elastilon Strong has no odor and is free of volatile materials.
Elastilon Strong gives cushioned comfort.
1/8” (3 mm) thick Elastilon Strong has ratings of IIC 62 and STC 54.
Thermal resistance: R _ 0,15 (m K) / W

SUBFLOOR PREPARATION
Do not install flooring directly over joist without subflooring.
All structural panels/underlayment must be installed sealed-side down, and provide ¾” perimeter spacing. Square-edged or non tongue and grooved panels used as a subfloor will require a minimum 1/8˝ (3 mm) expansion space between all plywood seams.
Panels must meet minimum CDX grade Exposure 1 and US Voluntary Product Standard PS1-95, PS2-04 or Canadian performance standard CAN/CSA 0325-0-92 for construction sheathing. Check underside of panel for codes. Minimum of 3/8˝panel thickness is recommended when used as an underlayment.
Note that joist spacing determines minimum subfloor thickness.
• Joist spacing 16” on center (oc)
Plywood: Minimum of (5/8˝) Oriented Strand Board (osb): Minimum (3/4˝, 23/32”) Advantech Minimum (3/4˝, 23/32”)
• Joist spacing 16” up to 19.2” (oc)
Plywood: Minimum of (3/4˝, 23/32”) Oriented Strand Board (osb): Minimum of (3/4˝, 23/32”)
• Joist spacing over 19.2”up to maximum 24” (oc)

• Particleboard or Masonite: is not recommended, remove or cover with 3/8” plywood.
•Avoid pressure treated plywood for interior use as these can have high moisture content and latent with rot resistant chemicals.

Wider planks are not recommended for application over radiant heat.
