I recently installed Morningside bamboo floors in my home. App. 500 sq ft including a living room, a few stairs, and hallways. I'm a do-it-yourself-er. Your instructions were very detailed although many things I did not know how to do, like find the humidity of my sub-flooring. I would have liked more help about handling stairs and hallways and there wasn't anything about what to do about changing directions on the stairs or at the tp of the stairs going into the hallway. Also, the installation of molding when your hardwood floor meets a carpet would have been helpful, esp how to properly install the molding. I used 3/4" 1/4 round molding to hide the edges but really think it would have been much easier, less costly, and much less time if you advised that I take off the existing wall molding and reuse. All I would have then had to do was to patch the nail holes and all the molding would have been cut right and easy to install. 1/4 round was difficult to install as you either need very long finishing nails or pre-drill the hardwood as the nail would otherwise bend. On the stairs, I wound up having to drill through the top of the hardware and use finishing nails to eliminate gaps and then countersinking the nails (and using wood putty). Natural wood putty worked extremely well and can't be seen. Hope this helps.
I really do love the appearance of my new floor. I've attached before and after photos.
