It is what it is, cheap flooring. The most annoying thing is the stickers stapled to the end of each board. I spent more time removing the stickers and tapping in the staples than installing the flooring.

This stuff isn't bad for the price. There's LOTS of knots. I don't mind a few knots, but every piece has at least one knot and usually 3 knots. I ordered about 20% more than I needed instead of 10% and I'm glad I did. The other fault is that every end is usually out of square. I have to cut a half inch or so off the end on every piece.

With all that being said, I really like the finished look of the product. It's light, easy to install, and the tongue and groove joinery are perfect fits.

                        Service and delivery comments:

All of the pieces came unpackaged. When I say unpackaged, I mean on a pallet with a couple plastic straps. Many pieces were blackened up pretty good from shipping and handling.

This is a good option for a slightly distressed look. A lot of the planks have cut marks, chips and dents. That is fine for me as I was going for that distressed wood look. This is a soft wood not a hardwood. I would recommend using Waterlox finish for this floor. The Waterlox will strengthen the wood fibers and help resist gauges and scratches. Also the lighter color finish will make those scratches less noticeable vs. a darker stain.

My husband and I are installing this floor in our new home in the kitchen, living and bedrooms. We want to maintain the natural color what do you recommend for this and for sealing.

We recommend that hardwood floor finishing be done by a professional, a water-based floor grade finish would be recommended.
Stain can help minimize color change, without it pine is destined to yellow to a certain degree. Check with the finish manufacturer for compatible sealers.

Do these need to be sanded prior to installation or are they pre sanded at factory?

It is sanded but the edges would not be flush and still will need to be sanded in place before final stain/finish.
