I did not do the install but the person that installed had no issues with the baseboard. I painted all 9 pieces and the finished look on my walls look amazing. It was also so much cheaper than buying it from the bigger name stores. I am very pleased!

Comments about White Painted Colonial Baseboard:

The product itself was quite satisfactory, but some of the pieces were simply not straight. When stood on it's edge, as if it were attached to the wall, a few literally rocked from end to end. That's how warped they were.

It says that baseboard is used for hard wood floors, I have carpeted areas I would like to use this on... Would that be alright? Also it says it's primed, would I need to paint the baseboard if I want white trim to begin with?

Yes of course, this can be used with all floor coverings.
This baseboard is primed white basecoat and will need a finish coat of paint for durability & ease of cleaning.

Unfortunately these white "primed" baseboards will not take a stain, I suppose you could do a faux finish to try and match the stained flooring or purchase an unfinished oak base board and stain to match.

How do you install baseboard in rooms that have different floor heights? I have a new hardwood floor (Brazilian Teak from Lumber Liquidators) that is 1/2 inch shorter than the ceramic tile floor in the kitchen. The 3 and 1/4 inch base molding is a continious run between both rooms and no inconspicious place to transition to the next level.
