2 ft x 15 ft HeatStep 120V Mat Kit -Floor Warming System

HeatStep Wire is an electric floor warming wire system that may be used under engineered hardwood, ceramic tile, or stone floorcovering materials.  HeatStep Wire must be embedded in a 1/4" to 1/2" thick cementitious layer.  Bostik SL-150, WebCrete 95, WebCrete 98, or UltraFinish, or any Bostikthin set may be used for tile applications.

HeatStep is a safe, comfortable, and cost-efficient electric radiant heat system that can be used on concrete slab or plywood substrates.  Almost every type of floor covering can be warmed with Heatstep, including engineered hardwood, ceramic and porcelain tile, stone, laminates, vinyl, or carpet.

Warm, luxurious floors are popular in bathrooms, shower floors, kitchens, entries, or any room with cold floors

Designed for safety, all HeatStep cables are built with dual wires to shield against EMF (Electromagnetic Fields).  HeatStep products are fully grounded and operate with ground fault circuit protection when using a HeatStep thermostat control.

- Maintenance Free
- Warm hardwood, ceramic, stone, laminates, and other floor coverings
- Comfortable, even heat without the drying effects of forced air

  • Q:

A friend of mine told me he installed heat mats under solid hardwood (I think oak) flooring and it works well. Are there any hardwood floors you have had positive feedback or experience with that you can recommend? I would rather not go with the porcelain if possible, I'm afraid of chips as well as the "drop" factor i.e. if we drop a plate or a glass. Looking for a solution to install throughout my entire home, new construction (Hurricane Sandy). Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
