About Pine
As a flooring option with great natural character, Pine's rustic knot patterns and goldish-amber tones will make a country-style home stand out as well as perfectly adapting to a traditional home décor.

Pine is subject to different grading standards than oak or maple. Large knots are allowable.

Unfinished flooring is sold in open, strapped bundles and not sold in boxes.

"Our advertising isn't fancy, our stores aren't in the high rent district, but our flooring is some of the best in the industry at incredibly low prices." - Tom Sullivan (Lumber Liquidators' Founder & Chairman)

Great product. Actually much better than I expected. We only had a couple sq ft of waste out of 160 sq ft. Love how it took the danish oil stain.

        Service and delivery comments:

There was a problem with the 8' boards we ordered but they substituted for more of the 6'. We got the first pick of a new pallet and the guy let us pick through. We rejected a lot and allowed us to end up with hardly any waste.

This stuff worked out great for me. The colour and diversity in the wood is really beautiful. Just make sure to get more extra than you'd think as some portions of boards are unusable do to damage or what have you. If nothing more, I wish I'd gotten a bit extra to use for other projects as it's so nice to work with.

Take note that I waited over a month for this to come in because it's not in very high demand. Glad I didn't hold my breath

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5-1/8" x 6' New England White Pine:

Purchased this pine flooring to use for a ceiling in a pool house. Product was as-described with a pale cream yellow tinge. We finished the boards via use of a white pickling glaze. Dimensions (width and thickness) were consistent and we had no problems with majorly warped boards. Some of the end cuts were not truly perpendicular, but easily fixed. Tongues slipped into grooves easily and fit well. Chamfers were all consistent. Due to knots and a few dings or chatters, wastage was a bit higher than I would have liked, but not unreasonable. Sanding was excellent, and I didn't need to further sand before applying pickling glaze. Good product.

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5-1/8" x 6' New England White Pine:

We used this product in our living and dining rooms. Needed 540 square feet ordered 625 (15% extra), used every usable bit of it. Installation was easy with the exception of a 3/16th of an inch variation in some of the board widths, which left some noticable gaps in a couple areas. We have an old farmhouse and were going for a rustic look. The floors we think turned out beautifully for what we were going for. The floor does dent and scratch easy if you drop something or don't have the appropriate gliders/felt pads on your furniture. We used an oil modified/water based satin poly with 4 coats. I would recommend this depending on what type of look you are going for.

we had never installed flooring before. after talking to the guys at lumber liquidators we were able to do it. we had measured for the rooms we had planned on putting it in and accounted for 10% waste.we had such little waste that we had enough left over to do a whole extra 12 by 12 room.we did the basement after putting plywood down for the flooring to be stapled to. rest of the house went smooth as well. this flooring does scratch easily but that is what we wanted(the rustic look). This flooring is SO much better than the carpeting we replaced it with.

Yes, you can antique them. There are several ways of distressing wood for that look. Google Search, "antiquing flooring" or "how to distress flooring".

I am building a "tiny house" on a trailer. I am considering this product for both the inside ceiling and walls....My question is for the ceiling installation. Do you see any problems specific to ceiling installation for this product? It would be nailed directly to the rafters (16" on center). Finishing it would be a bear unless done prior to installation.....

                    A:

An orbital sander needs to be used. You do not need a heavy grit for new pine floors. Carefully start with 120 and finish with 200. Keep dusk off with a vacuum then wipe with a clean cloth before finishing. Penetrating natural sealers like tung oil work best with pine.

This is a solid 3/4" product designed to be nailed to a wood substrate.
But can be installed over concrete using our Elastilon underlayment.
What you should know about Elastilon Strong
An Elastilon-backed wood floor is much faster to install than traditional nail or glue-down methods.
Elastilon Strong can be installed on new concrete floors, handling up to 3.9% moisture content. A vapour barrier of at least 6 mil PE should be used below grade and on newly poured concrete above grade where the moisture content is above 3.9%.
Laid down with a 5/8” (15 mm) expansion gap, Elastilon Strong creates a dynamic, floating floor that expands or contracts naturally with the hardwood.
Elastilon Strong has no odor and is free of volatile materials.
                    Elastilon Strong gives cushioned comfort.
1/8” (3 mm) thick Elastilon Strong has ratings of IIC 62 and STC 54.
                    Thermal resistance: R _ 0,15 (m K) / W
Elastilon Strong carries a 70-year limited warranty.

                    A:

All wood products are affected by environmental conditions, especially prefinished materials.
To control wood movement- expansion or shrinkage- it is recommended to acclimate the new flooring in the areas to be installed, not in (garages, U-Haul trailers, sheds, or tents) to normal lived-in conditions while in the boxes. If the products are protected in plastic then open the ends of the boxes. Length of time is not the determining factor. The goal of acclimation is for the core of the product to reach an equilibrium or moisture balance of the new flooring with its surroundings before installation or fastening. This balance could be achieved in as little as 1 to 5 days, or longer for some dense or oily exotic species.

                    Avoid shocking the floor.
Just like you, wood actually performs best with consistent indoor temperatures of 60°-80° F and indoor humidity levels of 30% - 50%. Very dry or humid regions of the country usually require extended conditioning. Maintaining the recommended acclimation levels even after the installation should be viewed as ongoing floor care. Your doing so will help to minimize board movement, excessive squeaks, finish cracking and gaps.

Hygrometers sold in most Target and Wal-Mart stores ($10-$45) can be used to easily identify the need to regulate the humidity or air moisture.
In addition, to prevent board warping or bowing, do not cut the plastic support bindings on the outside of the packaging until ready to install. Store products flat, in a dry place. Provide air flow under and around cartons. Do not store directly on bare concrete or next to outside walls. Cartons should be placed as close to the center of the installation area as possible.

Proper jobsite conditions, acclimation and moisture testing of the subfloor along with the new flooring all works together for the success of the installation and is the responsibility of those overseeing the project.

This is a soft unfinished pine wood product.
Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.
                    Thank you for your inquiry.
