About Pine
As a flooring option with great natural character, Pine's rustic knot patterns and goldish-amber tones will make a country-style home stand out as well as perfectly adapting to a traditional home décor.

Pine is subject to different grading standards than oak or maple. Large knots are allowable.

Unfinished flooring is sold in open, strapped bundles and not sold in boxes.

"Our advertising isn't fancy, our stores aren't in the high rent district, but our flooring is some of the best in the industry at incredibly low prices." - Tom Sullivan (Lumber Liquidators' Founder & Chairman)

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5-1/8" x 6' New England White Pine:

We used this upstairs in an open area that will be used as a library/office. We are very happy with how it looks with poly but be careful after installing our contractors stepped on it and we were unable to remove those marks/footprints with regular sanding. The boards mark easily and were marked up from just moving around. We were not planning to stain the boards which could mask the marks so we used polyurethane on top and just had to deal with the fact that there was nothing we could do about it. If you install yourself you could be careful to avoid this problem.

Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was very prompt and product arrived in good condition. Customer service was very helpful

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5-1/8" x 6' New England White Pine:

Putting this wood down was pretty easy - keep in mind a misplaced hammer blow will leave a mark. I am painting the floor - the irregularities in the surface (knot holes and cracks) are not really an issue in my case. There are some boards that are slightly wider or narrower which makes it hard to minimize a few of the seams. The ends of the boards are not tongue/groove and not always perfectly square. My main complaint (which is not huge) is that there was no protection from the shipping straps so a few boards were damaged - I used them at the wall were I had to rip one edge anyway. It just seems like a few pieces of sturdy cardboard or plastic could have prevented this.

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5-1/8" x 6' New England White Pine:

We just love our new pine floors!!! We actually flipped them over so the grooves aren't flush, giving more of the barnwood/modern rustic feel to our home. We hired contractors to install the floors in the main part of the house while we installed the kids bedrooms. The floors were so easy to install, the grooves fit perfectly together! We really love the knots in the floor, when stain is added to it, they really pop! There were some "bad ends" but you just cut those off and use the rest. We used a dark walnut stain, the pine took it wonderfully and turned out beautiful!!!! I will be buying more for the sunroom when it comes time!

I used it on 2 narrow walls next to fireplace.

Easy to handle 6' length. Easy on the saw blade because it is soft.

    True to measurement, as advertised.

If you are looking for perfect/no defect boards this is not for you. Strictly a rustic design.

    Service and delivery comments:

Picked up at store. They had it on hand so no shipping.

Very helpful when came time to load.

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5-1/8" x 6' New England White Pine:

I just started putting the wood down. Of the 30 pieces of wood that I pulled out, at least 50% of them had issues to them. These are tongue and groove pieces of wood and a lot of the groove pieces were broken, chipped or not there at all. All the pieces that were bad had to be cut up into smaller pieces to use. You can not flip over the wood because the groove is not cut the same on the reverse side. They indicate that you should buy an additional 10% and now I understand why. I would have been better off spending more money to get better quality of wood.

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5-1/8" x 6' New England White Pine:

I used this white pine to replace missing boards and extend a wood floor in the attic of my 1920's house. This part of the attic is used only for storage and most is covered by an original soft, brittle pine. The New England white pine I purchased from Lumber Liquidators was an almost perfect match. The width and thickness was the same and the tongue and groove was a match to the original wood. Based on other reviews, I expected a lot of waste, missing knots and miscut ends but the 6 foot long boards I received were almost all perfect with only one loose knot in 60 sq feet of board. I would not use this wood for a floor in a living space of the house since it's not likely to be durable but it was perfect for my purposes.

        Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was prompt, a couple of days sooner than promised.

We used this pine flooring in our bathroom. Also put the same floor in kitchen a few years ago. Must be sanded, stained, and polyed, but looks great in our cottage style home. Buy a little extra, and remember it takes more time to install then flooring that is already finished. If you want an "antique flooring" look, would recommend this product.

              Service and delivery comments:

Order a couple weeks before you really want it, as you can't just go to the store and pick up as soon as you order. And be sure to call the store, don't wait for email. Flooring was here for days before the email notification came.

I am installing it in the ceiling of a cabin. The peak is 22 feet off the floor so installation ease is a must. It goes together great and only a few boards are warped. I'm not finished yet because it's a one man job. I will take some photos when done.

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5-1/8" x 6' New England White Pine:

I used the product in the laundry room and kitchen and will be continuing to use it in our entire main floor of our house. This is a good quality flooring product. The boards will have variation. If you plan carefully it is easy to use curved or damaged boards along edges or in places that need cut. (Example- I used those boards underneath our washer dryer and dishwasher) I ended up having to sand and refinish the flooring because we used a "not so good" poly on it.

In order to make sure the flooring is more durable it is advisable to use a wood hardener and varithane polyurethane on the floor. I used the water based which made putting multiple coats faster. It has held up well but will still dent if you drop something heavy.

I read the Installation guide. For Underlayments, do I choose one out of all six listed? Or do I use a couple from the list, at the same time? For example, do I use the Felt Paper AND Bellawood Premium? Or can I select just Bellawood Premium (as long as subflooring meets 3/8" thickness requirement)? We're new to flooring. thanks!

Any tips on sanding? Grit steps? I was told to avoid the belt type due to pine being soft.

An orbital sander needs to be used. You do not need a heavy grit for new pine floors. Carefully start with 120 and finish with 200. Keep dusk off with a vacuum then wipe with a clean cloth before finishing. Penetrating natural sealers like tung oil work best with pine.
