About Pine
As a flooring option with great natural character, Pine's rustic knot patterns and goldish-amber tones will make a country-style home stand out as well as perfectly adapting to a traditional home décor.

Pine is subject to different grading standards than oak or maple. Large knots are allowable.

Unfinished flooring is sold in open, strapped bundles and not sold in boxes.

  • Q:

Can these be used for the underside of a 4'-wide by 8'long metal porch roof? They'd be installed running in 4' lengths crosswise to the supporting timber frame, & would have 1/2" plywood between them & the tin. We typically have a snow load of about a foot - 2' on occasion - & want to use something that will hold up to the conditions. Is there a better product option if these won't do? Thanks.

      A:

All of our flooring products are recommended for interior use only and designed to be installed in a climate controlled environment.
Although this 'may' work, it is not a structural material and would be considered "experimental".
Unfortunately we do not have anything specifically designed for your application.

  • Q:

What can you do about any holes that are in the board? Do you fill or just let be and hope you don't notice your subfloor poking through?
Asked on 2/25/2014 by Fair Weather DIYer from Louisiana

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Boards with large knot holes should be culled out instead of being installed. Smaller holes can be filled with a stainable wood filler.
