WILLIAMSBURG Butcher Block Co. - 1-1/2" thick x 25" x 12' White Oak Unfinished Butcher Block Countertop

Form meets function in kitchens that have butcher block countertops by Williamsburg Butcher Block Company.  The close grain provides a smooth surface, easily cleaned and cared for.
Williamsburg Butcher Blocks are sold unfinished.

White Oak is characterized by its gorgeous light brown coloring, with slight pink and gray tints cast across some boards. Not to be outdone, its open grain is absolutely captivating, with long rays and the occasional swirl and burl. An extremely popular choice in American homes.

I bought these for my kitchen countertops. I stained them twice with minwax golden oak color and then sealed them according to instructions with waterlox sealer/finisher. Time will tell on how they hold up but for now i could NOT be happier!

Product arrived at the store in about 2 weeks. Lots of filler used on poorly matched joints, no straight edge or square end - takes a good bit of work and love to turn this into a decent looking finished product, but the price reflects the quality.

It's just the look I was after makes my kitchen look amazing. Haven't found one thing that I don't like about the Butcher Block counter top in white oak.

Used for kitchen countertops and had to wait for 12 footers almost 2 months. Had to cut wood down to my needed sizes but that exposed the fingerjoints that were not assembled tight. The fingerjoints that were exposed on viewed side were packed with wood filler. Planed thickness was not uniform in the wood strips and you can see it from front edge of countertop. Guess the old saying holds true....you get what you pay for. This product would be best suited for utility counters where quality appearance is not paramount.

                    Service and delivery comments:

Besides wait time, Service was good. They kept me informed of my wait times and let me know when all the order arrived.

Yes there may be wood filler in minor gaps between the strips of wood.
Yes both sides are usable but one is usually better than the other.
This is an unfinished butcher block.
