Beautiful wood. Much more challenging than 3/4 inch to install. I could not find a cleat or side nailer than did not shatter this 1/2 inch wood. I finally found a review recommending the use of a 1/2 -1/4 inch laminate stapler. This worked. I wish I was told this I would have just gone with the 3/4 inch.

I want to install this flooring over ceramic tile...would that be possible?

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

If the ceramic is flat, level, well secured, and sealer and contaminate free then you can fully glue 5/16" flooring to it. Follow glue-down instructions - www.lumberliquidators.com/assets/images/installation/schon.pdf

        • Q:

I'm so frustrated with my vinyl floor I want to replace it with something I can safely and without damage use in my kitchen and laundry room. I'm on a slab, and I need to be able to pull the fridge out to clean behind with out ripping, tearing, denting, etc. Also, my mother lives with me and uses a rollator to get around, would this floor bear weight?
Asked on 11/19/2011 by Vee from Fort Wayne, IN.

          1 answer

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

Yes this should be able to handle the rollator walker but as far as the fridge being rolled out; that can damage any flooring. I would recommend using 6" x 4' strips of thin plywood (luan), masonite or wood paneling to roll the fridge onto and protect the flooring.
            Thank you for your inquiry.
