only available in 6.5 ft. length. Costly when only 3 ft. is needed. Sold by foot would be nice.

Q:
Do 3/4 inch stair nose get top nailed for installation?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
For safety, stair parts should be both nailed and glued. Nails can be predrilled, countersunk and holes filled with matching filler. Working from the bottom step to the top step, apply about 1/2" thick bead of adhesive to the back of each board in an "S" type pattern then Nail the tongues.Q:
Can this be layed on 2x12 skids or will the 2x12 hang out under the nose?1 answer

Can I get this stairnose in longer lengths? I am edging a raised floorspace/landing with exterior edges of 12 foot each. I would need 12 foot pieces. Thank you.1 answer

Please call our Sales Dept. @ (800) 476-0007 for pricing and availability for this special order product. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
Can this product be mitred for an open end step?1 answer
A:
The stairnose can be mitred to turn at outside open end steps. The nosings will be flush with the wood since they are grooved to match the tongue on the floor.Q:
Can you buy stair nose that has a tongue instead of a groove?1 answer
A:
I am sorry but no. You could create this profile by making a spline out of wood and gluing it into the groove of the nosing, thus making a stair nose with a tongue.Q:
Can I attach this product to concete stairs?1 answer
A:
You can, but you would have to use a solid wood moisture cure urethane adhesive to secure it to the concrete. I would suggest you consult with local building codes or a local building inspector to see what they would recommend for safety.
