The Brazilian Koa Threshold perfectly matches our Brazilian Koa floors. They enhance the beauty of our home against laminate flooring, tile and carpeting. Occasionally, they make noise when they are stepped on.

We purchased our wood from the North Hampton NH store. We are delighted with the quality of the wood, but after installing the floor, I used a Wet Swiffer product to clean floor which left white spots on the floor. We returned to the store to ask about that and were immediately told that the Wet swiffer was the worst product to use on the floor. We wish we had been told that at the time of purchase.

We do love the floor and we would shop there and recommend the store to others, but wish we had beeen told that.

We are installing this threshold up against brazillian koa hardwood and carpet. Which way is the correct way to lay this down? Does the carpet just but up against the theshold?

In some cases where it'll fit, carpet can go under the threshold. For details on installing this on your floor type, "Transition" here - www.lumberliquidators.com/custserv/aboutus.jsp?pageName=Flooring101

What is the best way to install this molding? I am stapling down the hardwood flooring. Should this be nailed down? Glued down with constuction adhesive? Both? Something else?

I would pre-drill and finish nail to secure this down (you can use 100% urethane construction adhesive insead of or with nailing).

                          • Q:

Is this the right transition molding for 3/4" Brazilian Koa hardwood flooring? The thicker part of the molding isn't the same height as the hardwood flooring, and so when this molding sits on top of the hardwood, the thicker tab does not reach all he way down to the subfloor. Since I understand you're supposed to attach this molding directly to the subfloor (and not to the hardwood) I don't see how this works.

You will need to use some 1/8" wood stock material to build up the height. I often use 1 and 5 gal paint stirrers for this (there free).
