we use the flooring in our home. flooring has a great look. stair nose was not 3/4 of an inch , had to cut groove off to make nose fit. a little disapointed with the stair nose.

I've been installing my 5" Brazilian Walnut on the diagonal and it looks beautiful. I need to install a stair nose for a step down to another room. Since I am not able to route a tongue on my diagonal cuts (there is too much splintering and blowout), I must route a grove and then transition to the stair nose with a spline. What adhesive do I use to install the spline? Must I face nail the stair nose or can I use an adhesive under that piece?1 answer

I would recommend both a flexible construction adhesive and about 8 well placed ring shanked finish nails.
