Service and delivery comments:
I picked up my 10 boxes of 3/4" x 5" Brazilian Teak when I was called by our LL store. I then called the LL installer and arranged a date & time for installation. The room size (9' 10" X 20' 10") was prepped (I removed Particle board & laid plywood) before the install date. I was very surprised at the amount of waste for a small area with (1 door and 1 archway). there were no vents (AC or Heat) to trim around, just a big rectangle. The millwork was not the quality I expected. The edges seemed hard to butt and some boards were undersize (not a consistent 5" wide). I am so pleased with the miracle performed by our installer. He actually selected and laid a fine teak floor for us. He removed the waste, cleaned the floor and I even returned (1) unopened box. If I buy some more material from LL, I will request the same installer, he is a miracle worker. I thought with the cost of the Teak, the millwork would be perfect, I know differently now. I show our floor to friends, with pride. I am a perfectionist & built several homes before moving to Indiana. I would not try to install this product myself. The installer earned his money and did the best job possible with the material he had to work with. I do not have any pictures of the "BEFORE" & "AFTER", but, would have to ask permission from the artist that laid this masterpiece, he is my hero. I will recommend this floor to a friend, as long as he hires the artist that laid our Brazilian Teak masterpiece.
