Comments about 1/2" x 3/4" x 6.5 LFT Hickory Shoe Molding:

We never had trim around our kitchen cabinets with our old ceramic floor. So when we had Venetian Cream Resilient Vinyl plank floor put in we had hickory trim installed to match our natural Hickory cabinets. WOW! Looks SO GOOD!

Hickory is a VERY hard wood so if you're installing it yourself, you may need to predrill for nailing.

    Comments about 1/2" x 3/4" x 6.5 LFT Hickory Shoe Molding:

The material I received was nearly white in color and even though it is hickory it does not go well with the hickory flooring I had installed. It splinters easily and is difficult to work with in my opinion. I cannot recommend your 1/2 x 3/4 hickory shoe molding.

        Comments about 1/2" x 3/4" x 6.5 LFT Hickory Shoe Molding:

Put these floors in a ski resort condo and they look absolutely beautiful. Lots of color variation and striations, a few knots here and there, really a sleek and rustic look all at the same time. Easy to install, don't creak or crack at all, and feel great. We'll see how they hold up through ski season, but as of now I definitely would recommend. My only remotely negative comment is that we received an entire box with the tongue and groove cut incorrectly, so it was unusable. But we had such little waste (a lot less than we bargained for) because of the easy installation that it probably all equals out. Overall, very very satisfied with this product, especially at this price point.

              • Q:

I plan to use this on a concrete floor. Is there a metal track available that I can screw to the concrete, then attach this T-moulding to? If not, how do you recommend attaching this to concrete? I want to use it with a floating engineered hardwood floor, 7/16" thick. How high is the vertical part of the T?

                  A:

The PRQCBRC4TM T-molding does not come with a metal track. You can use a urethane adhesive in a caulking tube and apply a thick bead of adhesive directly to the concrete and sit the molding in place allowing the bottom of the T-molding to sit into the adhesive. Apply weights on top of the molding until the adhesive cures. If the bottom of the molding does not reach the concrete subfloor, cut a shim and glue it to the bottom of the t-molding and once cured glue the whole piece to the concrete subfloor. The T-molding has a total thickness of 1/2" the vertical part of the T-molding is about 1/4" thick.
