Easy installation: Pre-finished surface so just cut to length, drill and countersink a few holes.

We picked the molding up at the store (in which it comes in a box) and when we got home and took it out of the box, it was all scraped and beaten up. We returned it to the store for a new one. The moral of the story is: BE SURE TO CHECK THE MOLDINGS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE (to save you the hassle of going back.

                  Comments about 5/8" x 2" x 6.5LFT Maple T-Molding:

The floors are gorgeous - I chose the blonde maple with wide slats and it gives the house a look of elegance and made it look so much bigger. I had it installed in all rooms except my master bedroom and the kitchen (had ceramic tiles in the kitchen and carpeting in the bedroom and that will stay).

At first I was looking at darker woods, but I am so happy I made this choice. In the end, it was the least costly, the most practical (not like bamboo as that is too soft) and the prettiest look with my darker furniture and cherry wood kitchen cabinets.

I had the installation done by a professional so I have no comment on how easy or difficult it was to do. I have the engineered hard wood that connects to itself without nails so it only took 2 days to complete so my guess is it's easier to install than 3/4" hard wood. I also had a floating subfloor which gives it a softer feel when you walk on it. All in all I am very happy with Lumber Liquidators and would highly recommend them for a quality product.

There were a lot of short pieces. Many had burn-like marks or knots. "Select" should have fewer suboptimal pieces. Find out about the number of less that perfect pieces per box before you purchase, as some items, like clearance items, are not returnable.

I'm looking for a T-Molding to go inbetween tile floors and 3/4*3-1/4" Rustic Maple Hardwood. The tile floors are about an 1/8" lower then the hardwood, is this product thick enough to be routed down on the one side so that its sits flush/level or do you have some other product in maple that already has this approx height difference. Thanks.

When using this on a floating floor, over concrete - what is the typical fastening method? (the item does not appear to come with the metal channel). Are you supposed to use screw down to concrete anchors, and cover with button plugs?

That is one way to do it, or you can use a urethane construction adhesive and weight the T-mold down until the glue sets.
