Easy to install - looks great

My 11 year old daughter and I (40 year young lady) put this tile down in our semi-finished basement over cement and an existing vinyl tile. Used the recommended primer. The floor looks great. I am far from a DIYer and not very talented or patient, but in about 5-6 hours total, we covered over 200 square feet with some difficult angles to cut. Very happy with this product and would use again.

Very cool product we chose to experiment with when our finished basement had a small (but carpet/pad destroying) flood due to a sump pump failure/burn up after a super heavy rain/rising water table. Husband was not sold on the idea of "vinyl" anything initially but I was paying so I went with it. He installed one smaller room first to see how it would look and was really nice/he loved it. He is almost finished the 1000 sq foot basement area we needed complete and was very easy (though TIME CONSUMING with all those small strips). His back is sore but he is very pleased and the thought of a future sump pump failure (knock on faux wood-look vinyl!) is no longer as frightening as it was when we had to strip out 1000 sq feet of wet carpet and pad. If you have the patience to install it and "get"/can come to terms with the fact that it IS vinyl (though as close to a wood look/textured look as I have ever seen, and I am in residential real estate), this is a great product. As many have said, using a little extra glue on the corners of the strips during lay-down helps make it stick better/reduced the possibility of cupping here and there.

              • Price increased

              Best Uses

I originally purchased this at one price which was a great price. I received the product after about a week due to FedEx losing two of three of the boxes and then randomly bringing me 30 pieces they lost out of the boxes they had already lost once. By the time I received it, Lumber Liquidators had increased the price by 20 cents a square foot despite still advertising the same sale.

The product itself was easy to install. Some of the product was harder because the backing would not peel off...I assume due to being exposed to heat? It is very thin but looks decent for the price.

                      Doesnt stick to Concrete well

These floors would not peel and stick to concrete at all. I used a primer/sealer on my concrete floor and these planks did not even attempt to stick to them. Some stuck better than others but it was horrible. I had to buy tubes of construction adhesive and glue them down one by one. Once done it did look very good, but it took forever to install. Also, some pieces were very difficult to peal the backing off of.

What is the difference between this and the Tranquility 1.5mm South Perry Pine Resilient Vinyl Flooring? Are they the same in color? I ran out of the South Perry Pine and am wondering if this would match? Online it looks identical.

                                    MAINTENANCE (Dos and DONTs)
                                    DO
                                    • Sweep or vacuum regularly.
                                    • Use cleaning products safe for vinyl planks.
•TEST cleaning products before use. Mineral spirits applied to a clean rag can be used for spot cleaning.
•Use non-staining casters, floor protectors on chair and table legs to distribute furniture weight and protect against scratches and
indentation damage. (TRANQUILITY planks are scratch resistance, not scratch proof).
                                    • Protect your floor against burns. Planks can be damaged by burns from a cigarette, matches, or other extremely hot items.
                                    • Protect your floor from tracked-in dirt and grit particles by using natural-fiber mats at all outside entrances. Take the time to
remove any imbedded grit particles from shoe soles before entering the room. Mats with rubber backings can cause permanent
                                    discoloration.
                                    • TRANQUILITY planks have good resistance to stains, not affected by most common household spills; however, any spill should be
cleaned up immediately. The longer the spilled material is left on the floor, the greater the risk of permanently staining the floor.
                                    DO NOT
                                    • Do not use paste wax or solvent-based polishes.
                                    • Do not use abrasive cleansers or mop with soap-based detergents, these products can leave a sticky film on your floor.
                                    • Track in tar or asphalt from driveways, as this can also discolor vinyl.
                                    • Use caution with stiletto type high heels on your floor, these can cause permanent damage.
                                    • Avoid the use of rubber or latex-backed mats, as certain rubber compounds can permanently stain vinyl
(Consult the mat manufacturer to determine if the backing is safe for vinyl planks).
                                    • Avoid exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods; this can result in tile discoloration. Excessive temperatures might cause tile
expansion or edge curling. During peak sunlight hours, the use of drapes or blinds is recommended especially on patio doors, etc.,
                                    that receive intense sunlight.
                                    • (TRANQUILITY Peel and Stick planks are water-proof, however high moisture from the subfloor or flood mopping can adversely
affect the glue bond). DO NOT WASH INSTALLATION FOR 48 HOURS

                                    Resistant; Yes.
Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage any floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.
