Quick Installation Tip: Subfloor surface must be clean, smooth, and level. Not recommended for installation over radiant heat.

Resilient flooring is moisture resistant which makes it an excellent choice for high moisture areas such as bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, and basements. But it will also enhance the look and feel of bedrooms, living rooms, and any other areas of your home.

We caught up with real Lumber Liquidators' customers who volunteered to discuss their floor shopping, buying and installation experiences. In no way did these customers receive compensation for their kind words. (They're speaking straight from the heart.)

Inexpensive but looks great!

By Ryan

from Gilbert, AZ

Pros

    Cons

      Best Uses

I installed this flooring in the room where my cat-box and backyard entry are located. Both potential sources of moisture. Vinyl plank was a better and more cost-effective choice than laminate. I applied a primer/adhesive promoter over the concrete slab before applying the peel-and-stick product. I took my time to make sure the seams were tight and straight. The product cuts easily with a sharp utility knife so moldings and doorways were no problem. The result is a great looking floor at a remarkably low price.

        great budget floor material

Looks great considering that it is a very low cost product.

About 5% of the purchased product was slightly damaged. Damage appeared to be caused the
by the band used to secure the product on shipping pallets. We will use this product again if we get
              credit for the damaged tiles.

              Flooring is great

              By wen

              Pros

              • Budget-friendly flooring.
              • Looks like hardwood.

              Cons

                Best Uses

So far so good. It's been about one month and I'm liking the flooring. Seems to be holding up pretty well. Everything is sticking. A few pieces popped up when they planks were first laid and I just applied cement glue to those pieces and that did the trick. Last night I spilled some wall paper removal gel unto the floor and the floor held up okay. Overall, very satisfied.

We picked this flooring for the price, but it looks beautiful once it's all down. We have had so many compliments and will be finishing our house with this. It is really easy to clean and we've even been able to get permanent marker off of it without damaging the flooring. Get it! you'll love it!

Love this stuff. We put it down throughout a basement and people always think it's actual hardwood or laminate hardwood. It's actually better looking than the hardwood laminate we installed upstairs.

                                • Anywhere

We used this product in our family, kitchen, nook and dining rooms. Hallway as well.
We laid it on top of cement. We took up carpet/padding/tack strips/filled holes/scraped/ swept/degreased floor/clean water then wiped it down with towels and let it dry for 30 min.
We then started laying the vinyl and everything stuck really well to the cement. Wish the width was a little more on the pieces but it looks gorgeous. I was really easy. It is very time consuming but the more we did it the faster we got.
Small complaint: the paper on the back that peels off gets stuck sometimes and that is a little irritating. I did find that if you can stand the tempature a little higher like 70°-75° then the backing comes off a little easier.
                                ** Helpful hint on cement
Let the vinyl sit a few hours with the prepped floor the same temp @ 75°. Keep it that temp the whole laying time. Then once finished make it cooler in the room and you will have a tight fit!!

The tiles were easy to put down. The glue made my hands sticky, but WD40 was able to get it off.

I am prepping a double-wide house for resale. This product is a great value. It is low priced, looks great and I installed it myself. I have installed other peel & stick flooring, but this is the best looking floor of that type I have used. Most people cannot tell if it is laminate or vinyl. I had a couple boxes where the glue was applied to the sides of the planks which made handling the pieces very frustrating and I had to clean the glop off of each piece. But the other 21 boxes were fine. Like others, I spent more time removing the backing paper than putting the floor down !!

I used this item on my kitchen walls, under my cabinets. Product has adhesive on the back but it is not strong enough to stay stuck on the walls. Had to use GOOP on each panel to make it stick without falling off a few hours after applying to the walls.

We just installed this in a man cave over properly prepared concrete. Looks great, went down easily but now there is glue residue all over the top of the floor. What should we use to clean this off?

Mineral Spirits (used sparingly) with plenty of clean soft rags will remove the adhesive.

                                          Terrazzo or Ceramic Subfloors:
                                          • Old terrazzo or ceramic flooring subfloors shall be treated in the same manner as a concrete subfloor, with additional precautions. Surface coating or sealers must be completely removed by light sanding or other suitable effective methods and shall be filled or flat to a smooth surface with latex Portland cement-based patching compound.
                                          • If these are to be used as a subfloor these must be checked for moisture and bond tests conducted.
                                          • Remove all sealer, varnish, wax, oils and soil to prevent bond interference.
                                          • Make surfaces level and smooth using a latex Portland cement-based patching compound

I have installed this flooring last night throughout my house. Looks great. Only one problem tho, my floor is sticky from the glue. I have tried lightly scrubbing it to get the glue off, which it goes after a while of scrubbing. What can i use that will not damage the planks, that I can get this glue off easier and faster?

This would be considered an experimental installation. It may work if you use in conjunction with LVT Lock adhesive.
