Comments about 6.5LFT Red Oak Threshold:

We had our beautiful oak floor professionally installed, as removing 3 rooms of old flooring and then installing new oak over it was way beyond our ability as a do-it-yourself project. We DO NOT miss our old carpeting and vinyl floors, as these new wood floors are so easy to take care of and will not trap dirt, dust and pet dander as our old carpeting did.

    Service and delivery comments:

Your customer service representative could not have been more helpful when we stopped in to the store. She was very knowledgeable about all the products and easily answered all our questions. Delivery was on time and everything was in good condition.

                    • Q:

I have two transitions for which I am needing assistance. In both cases I am looking for finished Red Oak.
I have a tile surface that is finished 1/2" tall. A one transition I am going to carpet and the other is going to a flat concrete.

When i review the various products they reference 5/8" . What does the 5/8" mean? Or better yet, which strips can I use?

I need a threshold to transition from a tiled bathroom that is 3/4' hight than the wood floor outside. The tile job is not even enough at the transition to use a threshold that butts up to the tile. It needs to cover the tile slightly. Would this item be good? Thanks.

Is this the recommended end-piece when the floor ends at a "rough" brick fireplace foundation?
I am using 3/4x2 1/4 red oak flooring.
If so I assume i shall add some material to make the profile height match floor thickness?

Yes this is a good option to end at a brick hearth.
I have also used a reducer, butting the thick end towards the brick to cover the expansion space (you would need to support the reducer with 3/4" stock) and allow for proper expansion.
