    I have dogs that sometime have accidents. This product is considered waterproof, but would urine be able to leak into the cracks between the planks where it would not be able to be removed thus causing an odor problem?

      The "click-joints" are a tight fit, but I suppose liquid deposits could seep between them if not cleaned up promptly.

    Can vinyl planks be installed over ceramic style?

  • Q:

    I recently experience basement flooding for the first time in over 20 years. I am interested in a vinyl flooring to replace the carpeting I had to remove. I was wondering whether to put a vapor barrier or underlayment under the vinyl tiles or go with just the flooring in case it may flood in the future. My concern is how I would address any future flooding, and if water could accumulate under these underlayments, and cause mold to develop.

      In your situation I agree that you should install the product directly over the subfloor.

  • Q:

    Wait I'm confused! I just asked this in live chat, and was told that all LL vinyl floors had 20mil (which is .5mm) in wear layer! But in your post you said it only has .1mm? How do I find this info for myself to see who is right? It should be listed in your description.

      A:

      We have several Tranquility Vinyl products available in different thicknesses and quality:
      5 mm = 0.5mm wear layer
      4 mm = 0.1mm wear layer
      3 mm = 0.1mm wear layer
      2 mm = 0.2mm wear layer
      1.5mm = 0.1mm wear layer
      Thank you for your interest in our flooring products.
