    I bought an end cap similar to this one to transition from the laminate floor in the room to the carpet in the hall. How far from where the laminate floor ends do you install the metal strip that the end cap attaches to? Does the carpet get tucked under the long edge of the end cap or butt up to it? Thanks

      A:

      You should leave about a 3/8' gap between the laminate & the track.
      The carpet will be installed up-to the installed transition.
